1. “Around the Gran Sasso by Bike”

A wonderful 7 days tour in Abruzzo/Italy

GRAN SASSO - MONTI DELLA LAGA

From the Adriatic-Sea at Giulianova You will ride (in little groups of 5) around the Gran Sasso(The Great Stone), passing little villages with their own character.

Here and there You will have a little break on Your own or with the group and see the manifold of the country.

Highlight of the tour is the ride over the high-plains of the Campo Imperatore (1500 - 1600 meters above sea-level) with its traditional sheepherds and the highest peak of Middle-Italy: the Corno Grande (The Big Horn) with its 2912 meters.

Daily stages of about 60 kilometers leave You enough time to know the country and the people and clever chosen roads ask You only for a bit of breath and a littlebit of experience with the bike (this tour is not a race !).

2. Trekking around the Gran Sasso

A 7 days walk in the Nationalpark

From the northern side of the Gran Sasso Mountains with its forests You cross over the hills to the great plain of the Campo Imperatore, a rough side of this nationalpark.

You walk into the big valley with the town of L’Aquila, circle the Campotosto-lake (the biggest lake in Abruzzo) and close this tour visiting the canyon of the little Salinello-River.

For offering the most of this impressive country-side of Italy in 7 days we have included transfers before or after the daily stages.

On this tour You get to know the people, their history, their culture, food and wine.

The daily stages are not very hard and long, so everyone can enjoy this region with its rich flora and fauna.
