The
bay of Nora baia is fully grown from a gulf that
departs from "Punta
Coltellazzo" at Sud, to arrive up to a promontory, toward
north, that it houses a zone denominated "Batteria"
because there are ex military installations of the second world war.
Here there is beyond to buildings restructures many bunker
also and places troops for the heavy artillery unused by
now. Along all the bay are present hotels, restaurants and
other tourist services and are active services of urban
and extra-urban transport. |
|
|
All the bay is fully
grown from sandy beaches. Crossing the road that coasts along it as
they meet different entries each of which door to a beach. The
different zones assume various names according to the
characteristics of the place. So we have the zone of Nora

area "I

"Su Guventeddu" and so on. |
|
|

The
real beach of Nora goes from the south cape, up to the church of
Sant'Efisio. This tract of sea it is prevalently sandy with low
backdrop and he enjoys of the view of the tower of Nora sited to
"Punta di Coltellazzo".
|
|
|
This
area is characterized by the presence of the archaeological rests
diffused around and connected to the ruins of the ancient city. Any
rests in the zone of the "Banchina" could be seen, they stay
at the level of the run aground and near to the street; there are
other ruins in the area of "Guardiania" near to the church
of Sant'Efisio.
|
|
|

|
From
other side of the street, toward west, there is the lagoon
of Nora. This is a protected zone, where numerous animal and
vegetable typical species of the Mediterranean area lives. To the
inside of the lagoon it is possible to make guided excursions
with the boat. In proximity of the lagoon to southwest there
is a natural small harbor used by fishermen, here there are
small fishing boats moored along the coast. In north direction
instead you going toward the beaches of "Su

in the area of Su Guventeddu. This tract of sea has
characterized from a rocky natural barrier to thread of water
that crosses all the inlet to a distance of around 200 meters
from the water-edge. In the periods of low tide in that point

The beaches of Santa Margherita di
Pula |
|
|

|
Santa
Margherita is a part of the inhabited area of Pula but his
history and origin differs from those of the town. Santa
Margherita is fully grown from a small urban center absorbed
in the green of pines and eucalyptus. If you take ourselves
off from the center, you can see that the residences become
more and more rare and they assemble in determine zones to
form residential inhabited area prevalently condominiums or
community. Many of these villas are inhabited only during the
summer and in other recurrences during the year. |
|
|
Through
the state road 195 you can enter to Santa Margherita. The main
entries are three. |
| |
|

|
The
central entry carries to the inhabited area of Santa
Margherita, the other two coasts along the sea-front with very
handsome panoramas and allows to reach the center however.
Crossing one of these roads you can arrive to the beaches
particularly in the place Cala D'Ostia, where sandy shore is very spacious, the sand is thin and the waters are
naturally clear. In the other side of the street there are
many campings absorbed in the pines and hotels. They are
