In ’96 Knaap Fruits, a family company with its roots in the Westland area (Netherlands), started in Pula Sardegna with production of cherry tomatoes on the vine, complementary to the production period in Holland. Company's aim mission is to combine the best ingredients of two cultures in order to provide its customers with a high quality product  at the right time and place.  Today Knaap Fruits has 3.5 ha. of own production of cherrytomato on the vine and cooperates with 16 other growers in the area of Pula, Villa San Pietro and Capoterra, totalling another 6.0 ha. Trials have been set-up continiously for selection of new tomato types.  Specialties like cocktail-vine, midiplum tomato, miniplum and plum-vine have been brought into commercial production. The growing at third locations is intensively guided by a team of 2 crop technicals. For the future, company has planned the developement of the production and the distribution of his product. Main objective is to increase the production in the winterseason.
