Upgrading your browser
Both Internet Explorer and Netscape are continually producing new versions of their browsers, with added features (Internet Explorer has now got to version 5.01, and Netscape to 4.7).
The new version of Sacred Space requires version 4.0 (or higher) of either browser, so if your browser is older than this, you will need to upgrade. You can get the latest versions of these browsers free from a number of sources:
Downloading and installing these browsers is usually a straightforward matter of following the instructions. Any technical questions about this are best referred to Microsoft's download help page or Netscape's download help page.
Most computer and internet magazines these days give away a free CD or two, and Internet Explorer 5 is almost always one of the products on the CD. Netscape Communicator/Navigator 4.7 is often there too. Installation instructions are provided.
Companies offering free internet access often give away (or charge a nominal amount for) a CD which includes their software and Internet Explorer 5. Installation instructions are provided.
Both browsers are available from their manufacturers' sites as a free download:
Microsoft's download site. Netscape's download site.
The only snag is that they are large files, and could take an hour to download, so that's a long phone call!
