Pipa

Pipa is hidden within the virgin Atlantic forest in the Northeast and escaped the ravages of the sugar cane exploitation during Brazil's colonial era.
It has been a hidden ecological paradise for centuries, known only to a few people outside of the fishing culture which lives here. When the first outsiders began to discover Pipa about five or six years ago, many of them, captivated by the natural beauty of the place, experienced what can only be described as an almost compulsive desire to stay.

The face of Pipa began to change. Unmanageable dirt roads were paved, elegant pousadas (rustic country hotels), restaurants, bars and stores started to appear amidst the palm trees and simple unadorned houses of the native people. Very soon this remote beach became one of the most popular in Brazil, fashionable without, however, losing its distinct personality.

For the newly-arrived visitor to Pipa perhaps its main attraction is still that sense of wonder and discovery, that is, of course, if you don't arrive during the New Year celebration, or during Easter or Carnival. Even during these busy seasons, however, one can easily escape to the many virgin paradises surrounding the main beach.

Pirangi

Pirangi has the "largest cashew tree in the world", that in turn presented its guide, Tom do Cajueiro who is now 16 years old, to the public.
Another attraction of Pirangi is the boat ride to the "parrachos" (the natural swimming pools in the ocean formed by the coral reefs), where taking a dip is just a matter of priority and pleasure. The animated street Carnival, with its band and "marchinhas", is also a lively image.

The image that the tourist can take from Pirangi, above all else, is taken from another angle. It has to do with the encounter of the river with the sea, subtly framed by coconut palms. It's a click you can't waste

Genipabu

25 km north of Natal is the famous Genipabu park of dunes.
It's an incredible series dunes up to 50 m high. It's nice to go through the park on an amusing Selvagen (the most famous model of buggy) or quietly riding a horse to the internal lake.
For extreme fun you can also rent an esquibanda, a sort of bob that allows you to dive headfirst from the dunes, even directly into the refreshing sea.
