DSB - Double SideBand

It is a transmitting mode very similar to AM, where the carrier is suppressed and only the two sidebands are transmitted.
Since the carrier uses normally half the power of an AM transmission, suppressing it we can transmit the sidebands, carrying the useful information, at a double power level.
However, radio amateurs don't use DSB, because the prefer the
SSB, that has even greater performances.
