Codice Morse
Radio amateurs use the International Morse Code, with very few modifications
for some character groups.
Morse Code is used during QSO
made in CW. To speed up conversation, hams
use also many abbreviations, based mainly on English words, and the
Q Code.
Morse code was invented by Samuel Finley Breese Morse.
This plate on a wall in Rome says:
"SPQR - This house was inhabited from February 20, 1830
to January 5, 1831 by Samuele Finley Breese Morse"
