1) Il guadagno del demodulatore deve essere regolato per avere in uscita un segnale di circa 50mv R.M.S.

(25-50 max)

2) L'impedenza d'ingresso varia con la regolazione del guadagno.

3) Possono essere normalmente utilizzati integrati serie LS o HC

4) SA602=NE602 doppio passo per montaggio smd o dil 8 pin

5)Puo' essere montato sia un quarzo che un oscillatore.

6)La configurazione del montaggio componenti e' riferita alla versione con if 455 khz

7)C8 non va montato.

Molto importante:controllate che la scheda sound del vostro pc in particolare sui portatili *non* abbia il controllo automatico di guadagno

nel caso abbia A.G.C. ne dovrete montare una esterna.

montare il ponticello che si vede sulla foto della serigrafia per i 455 khz

lo schema si puo' adattare per ogni media frequenza

Changes to DRM specification.

On Monday December 15 the DRM specification will change. This is probably the last chance to incorporate advances in audio coding techniques before the mass production of chips starts and the system becomes fixed.

If you have any DRM decoding software, this e mail contains important information about what you must do to continue to receive the DRM signal. ALL USERS NEED TO UPGRADE their software!

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANGES
These upgrades will be submitted to the standards body ETSI.
The upgrades are mainly related to the audio source coding part of the standard.
They will increase the audio quality of the DRM system, and will align it with existing, open, audio codec standards.

Specifically, the DRM system upgrades will:

- Change the SBR implementation to the MPEG-4 format
- Replace the low complexity stereo tool with the parametric stereo tool
- Introduce the combination of HVXC and CELP speech coders with SBR
- Implement the MPEG-4 scalable syntax for the audio source coding

As a consequence of these changes, the new format will no longer
be compatible with the current format. Therefore an upgrade of all
transmitters and receivers in use is currently underway.

DATE OF THE CHANGE
The date for the switch between the current and the new format will
be 15 December 2003, at 01:00 UTC.

Please note that it is possible that some transmitters will not be able
to broadcast in the new format exactly at 01:00 UTC on December 15th.
We anticipate a system upgrade transition period of approximately one week,
so please don\'t worry if not all broadcasts are available immediately.

New software releases are already available for download for the new system specification.

DRM SOFTWARE RADIO USERS MUST UPLOAD THE NEW VERSION
For all users of the DRM Software Radio (60 EUR version):
Version 2.0.34 is available.
You are kindly requested to upgrade your existing
software by downloading the file from www.drmrx.org. The exact download location is password protected and this information was supplied with your key file. If you lost your original e mail with the key file, please request it to be resent by e mailing james.briggs@merlincommunications.com QUOTING THE LAST 3 DIGITS OF YOUR KEY NUMBER. The key number is displayed on the GUI in the format MERLIN00000xxx or as a file on your PC hard drive named DRMSoftwareRadio-00000xxx.key where xxx is your key number

We advise you to save the new versions of the software in a different directory, so you can keep both old and new versions during the transition period.
