Hello, let me introduce myself to you. My name is Roberto, I was born on 15th of May 1969. I  live in a small village located between the city of Milan and the Swiss border with my wife Raffaella and our rabbit Pinturicchio . The village is called Lomazzo and it is located in Como province. Como is a well known city for his  beautiful lake   and it is the city of pile's inventory Alessandro Volta.

My  parents' QTH used to be in JN45MR, but in  June 2000  I got married and moved to JN45MQ. Since of very bad take off of my first QTH I have done only a little activity from home. Now I have a better take off so I want to build a little 2m and 70cm array to run DX from home too.

At the primary school I met a teacher which was an OM and so I've started my interested in ham activity. In 1986, when I was 16,  I have passed my  examination and got my CEPT class II license as IW2DVK, before I have been SWL for one year. In 1999 I have passed my CW examination and finally in June 2003 I have decided to ask for the new CEPT Class I license. Since 16 July 2003 I am IZ2FOB

My main interest is VHF & UHF contesting and DX but I get a lot of satisfactions to build antennas, transceiver  and other parts of my station.

I work as field engineer by a company which design and manufactures 70 MHz to 900 MHz  mobile radio communication systems  for the PMR (Private Mobile Radio) market.
