Early Poems

It was not easy for Mr. Luigi Scopelliti to take the decision of publishing the majority of his early poems.

Both a natural inner resistance, due to a kind of inclination towards individualism, and fear to make a main part of his boyish soul apparent and visible to other people, pushed him to postpone this event several times.

The poems which he has eventually decided to deliver to the world through the Internet -mostly composed in the 70's- represented to him in those years, the spontaneous and genuine issue of an interior trouble based and developed on a continuous gaps and differences collecting activity, unconsciously carried out in the development of his daily relationship with other people.

The young poet had constantly fed on the proved evidence of emerging gaps, special food to his soul, necessary for a frequent lightly painful and satisfying flashing contact with God as he considered the strongly and highly vivid Presence he was able to perceive.

Now the Author can feel the distance from those emotions, crystallized by the long lapse of time. Hence his decision, encouraged by a longer and more mature life experience, of giving his early poems over to the web.

Just one thing I dare ask the person who, perhaps unintentionally, has run across these pages: respect and consideration for this petty fragment of life -the poems- which sparkled and died one day, at once swept away by experience.
