WORKING TOOLS
To create and publish a WEB SITE the right tools are needed:
- A COMPUTER POWERFUL ENOUGH that allows you to use graphical tools and HTML editor with a certain speed. The features are:
- a good graphics card with its own RAM of 2 GB
- screen with great definition. 1920 x 1080 or better to be able to open multiple windows and work simultaneously.
- at least 4GB RAM
- multiple processors motherboard, with math coprocessor
- ADSL modem or faster connection with FLAT subscription-type
- High-capacity hard drives
- the total evaluation index should be not less than 6
- AN EDITOR HTML that allows to see the result of the code you're writing as you write, and a contextual help that allows you to assign the correct properties allowed for each of the objects, to write and attach one or more files to CSS a piece of code or to a page, providing alternatives to be assigned directly to a specific property of an object.
It would be otherwise extremely long constructing web pages even if they start from one or more templates. As good editor I found very useful DREAMWEAVER by Adobe, because it offers more freedom and ease to view, edit, copy and manipulate files within and outside the site. However I have also tried other software but I find it more challenging and less intuitive to use.
- AN EDITOR OF IMAGES THAT ALLOW THE FOLLOWING:
- to open almost all kinds of image
- to select and crop images' areas
- to enlarge or shrink the image and/or its background
- to compose images from existing images
- to make partially or totally transparent images and / or their backgrounds
- to save images for the web in a variety of formats (GIF, PNG, JPEG) allowing you to choose the best images with less 'weight' in order to reduce the time it takes the browser to load them.
- PROTECTION SOFTWARE TO BLOCK IMPORTING VIRUSES OR OTHER MALWARE IN YOUR NETWORK OR YOUR PC, TO CLEAN PERIODICALLY YOUR BROWSERS, TO ELIMINATE THE GRIME, AND TO CLEAN YOUR WINDOWS REGISTRY.
- PROVIDER. Choose a good provider that can guarantee a long life to your site, and that can give you technical assistance and possibility to put and unload your files by FTP with your editor
Using basic HTML is satisfactory, because by using it you discover something new every day, a new feature to improve your skills, but you need to learn it, and it takes a heavy work. If you're a lazy fellow better not even to start.
