| Inigo Jones was born in London in 1573. In 1615 he began the project of the Queen's house in Greenwich, inspired to italian models. The work was interrupted when the queen Anna died (1619) and started again after ten years. Among his other works there are the Queen's Chapel, Covent Garden systematization and the Banqueting Hall of Whitehall. |
