Reggina - Roma  0 - 4

----------

A pitiless Roma sinked Reggina in less than half hour and took three points away from a pitch where no other team had been able to win. Capello's guys seem to be fully recovered from the bad performance supplied last Sunday in the domestic match played against Cagliari. With Marco Delvecchio still injuried, the coach was forced to bet once again on the Brazilian Fabio Junior who scored the match goal last Thursday in the Uefa match against IFK Goteborg.

It took Roma only five minutes to take the lead thanks to a own goal by the defender Oshadogan who worried to anticipate Montella, deflected in goal a corner by Marcos Assucao. Only few minutes later Orlandoni was forced to stretch himself to slap away a shot by Totti. The Reggina's striker Possanzini seemed unable to outdo the Roma's back line also because the Reggina's midfielders weren't able to give him a decent ball. In the 28th minute Roma went further ahead. Giacchetta brought down Candela in the pen box and Mr.Braschi granted the penalty converted by Montella. Roma had to full control of the match and tried to save precious energies for the next match when they will have to face Lazio in the "derby". Fabio Junior knew that Capello gave him a big chance and he didn't waste it this time. The Brazilian made it 0-3 in the 39th minute when he score a beautiful goal with a precise lob after a cross by Totti. The first half seemed to have given enough emotions but Totti disagreed. The young jewel was fouled in the pen box after a stunning individual move and he converted the penalty with a powerful shot who beat Orlandoni for the fourth time.

In the second half nothing more could happens. Capello replaced a tired Assuncao with Tommasi and Fabio Junior with Di Francesco. Zanetti got his second yellow card and left the field. Reggina had the chance to score twice but both times the bar denied Baronio a deserved goal. In the last minutes Oshadogan was sent off by the referee after a bad foul over Montella. Nothing more happened in a match that lasted only half time.
