village of Bembridge Isle of Wight, Great Britain
Dating from around 1700, this is the only Windmill to survive on the island and is a charming piece of industrial archaeology. Much of its wooden machinery is intact and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside can be seen from the top floor of the mill. Just few minutes walking, and you can reach Bembridge Downs, made of chalk. You can buy unusual and original greetings cards, diaries or notebooks with Bembridge theme, in the High Street of the village at Desktop Studio.

Bembridge is set at the Isle of Wight's most easterly point. A seaside village surrounded on three sides by water and on the fourth by Bembridge Downs. There is an airport. The life of the village is getting busier and more lively not just because of the presence of the Maritime Museum and the Sailing Club, but mainly because of the shops and businesses in the High Street. There, are located the Howard Associates Chartered Surveyors (Adrian H Flatt, FRICS, ACI Arb) and the Desktop Studio (Brian Cantwell, director)
