Maria Laura Nuzzo si è laureata in psicologia presso l'Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza" e ha ottenuto l'abilitazione all'esercizio della psicoterapia dopo una formazione con Vittorio F. Guidano. Dal 1980 al 1990 ha ricoperto cariche direttive nella Società Italiana di Terapia Comportamentale e Cognitiva (SITCC), della quale è socio Didatta. Nel 1986 ha fondato l'Associazione per la Ricerca Psicologica sul Cancro (ARPC), nella quale ricopre la carica di Segretario. Nei primi anni '80 ha introdotto in Italia la teoria dei costrutti personali di George A. Kelly favorendone l'elaborazione in senso costruttivista ermeneutico in collaborazione con Gabriele Chiari e fondando nel 1997 l'Associazione Italiana di Psicologia e Psicoterapia Costruttivista (AIPPC), della quale è Presidente. Rappresentante dell'area cognitiva della Federazione Italiana delle Associazioni di Psicoterapia (FIAP), è membro della commissione etica della stessa oltre che del Coordinamento Nazionale delle Scuole Private di Psicoterapia (CNSP) e del Coordinamento Nazionale Counsellor Professionisti (CNCP). È docente di psicoterapia costruttivista presso la Scuola di Psicoterapia cognitiva a indirizzo costruttivista del Centro Studi in Psicoterapia Cognitiva (CESIPc) di Firenze, nella quale ricopre anche l'insegnamento di etica costruttivista. Esercita la professione privata presso lo stesso CESIPc e presso il Centro di Psicologia e Psicoterapia Costruttivista (CPPC) di Roma del quale è Direttore.	Maria Laura Nuzzo graduated in psychology at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and qualified as a psychotherapist after her training with Vittorio F. Guidano. From 1980 to 1990, Dr Nuzzo was a member of the scientific-didactic committee of the Italian Society of Behaviour and Cognitive Therapy (SITCC), of which she is still a Fellow Teacher. In 1986 she founded the Association for the Psychological Research on Cancer (ARPC), acting as its secretary. In the early '80 Dr Nuzzo introduced in Italy George A. Kelly's personal construct theory, favouring its elaboration in a hermeneutic constructivist direction in collaboration with Gabriele Chiari, and in 1997 founded the Italian Association of Constructivist Psychology and Psychotherapy (AIPPC), of which she remains the President. Representative of the cognitive division of the Italian Federation of the Associations of Psychotherapy (FIAP), she is a member of the ethical committee, as well as being a member of the ethical committees of the National Coordination of the Private Schools of Psychotherapy (CNSP) and of the National Coordination of the Professional Counsellors (CNCP). She is a teacher of constructivist psychotherapy at the School of constructivist-oriented Cognitive Psychotherapy of the Centre for Studies in Cognitive Psychotherapy (CESIPc) of Florence, where she also teaches constructivist ethics. Dr Nuzzo practises at the CESIPc and at the Centre of Constructivist Psychology and Psychotherapy (CPPC) of Rome, of which she is Director.
