At present PhD student, with a triennal doctoral fellowship in English Literature, University of Rome "La Sapienza", under the supervision of professor Agostino Lombardo.

I was awarded a PhD grant for presenting a research project on the narrative of Edward Upward as a new novel form which interprets and creates a balance between political engagement and artistic inquiry. It is the first ever detailed study on Edward Upward in Italy.

Post-graduate Specialization Diploma in "Modern European Languages", University of Rome "La Sapienza", 1997. Grade: Optimum. My final dissertation was on the relationships and parallels between proverbs and idioms in modern European Languages (English, Italian, Spanish).

Post-graduate Specialization Diploma in "Theory and Practice of Literary Translation", University of Rome "La Sapienza", 1996. Grade: Optimum. My final dissertation, the translation into Italian of Kate O'Riordan, Involved, is due for publication.

Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature (English, American, Spanish and Ispano-American), full marks and honours (110/110 "cum Laude") with a dissertation entitled "A Single Man: Autobiographical Inquiry and Spiritual Renewal in the Narrative of Christopher Isherwood", University of Rome "La Sapienza", under the supervision of professor Agostino Lombardo, 1994. The dissertation was judged "worthy of publication" by the English Literature University Dept, and it was published by Bulzoni, Rome (July 1998) under the title Un Uomo Solo: Autobiografia e Romanzo nell’Opera di Christopher Isherwood. It is the first ever detailed Italian criticism on Isherwood's narrative.

I achieved full marks (30/30 "cum Laude") in all my examinations dealing with Language and Literature.
