The essay,
in Italian, deals with the mirror both as an object and
a concept inside Isherwoods narrative production.
From the very first novels up to the more mature and
Vedanta connected work, the image of the mirror plays a
substantial part in Isherwoods narrative scheme.
Not always physically present, the mirror is often evoked
as and substituted by the figure of the double, either as
twin brothers or as two parts of the same personality
which, separated and conflictual at first, finally
reunite under the light of a strong and deep spiritual
experience.
