Inner consciousness

Only a very few Sufi tales, according to Halqavi, can be read by anyone at any time and still affect the "inner consciousness" constructively.
"Almost all others", he says, "depend upon when, where and how they are studied. Thus most people will find in them only what they expect to find: entertainment, puzzlement, allegory."
