YANTRA YOGA
Yantra Yoga or the 'Yoga of movement' is a form of yoga in the Tibetan tradition. Its original instructions were written down in the VIII century AD by the Master Vairochana. It was transmitted in the West by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu from the early seventies. Yantra Yoga, through precise movements of the body and methods of breathing with mental concentration, aims to bring about a true balance and relaxation of body, energy and mind. Yantra Yoga is an important practice for those who wish to approach the deeper spiritual experiences of Dzogchen teachings.

The Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Founder of the Dzogchen Community
Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, a Master from his birth, was recognised as a Tulku or reincarnation from an early age. In the light of this recognition he was given a particularly full and in-depth education. During his studies he had such extraordinary learning abilities that he became reknowned for his erudition even in his youth. When he was 18 he met his principal Master Changchub Dorje who opened him up to the complete reawakening of his knowledge. When, at the end of the seventies, he was asked to give teachings his deep knowledge of the essence of Dzogchen and his spontaneous capacity for transmitting it meant that his knowledge and the value of his teachings were appreciated, understood and practiced by a large number of disciples of all nationalities, both western and non western. Later, various centres were founded all over the world: Europe, USA, South America, Australia and Russia, in order to be able to gather in various places for the giving of and in-depth study of the teachings and Tibetan culture. In addition to his strictly spiritual activities, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu works actively for the safeguarding and conservation of Tibetan culture, and with this aim in mind over the past few year he has visited China and especially Tibet several times. Despite these numerous activities, and travelling tirelessly round the world Chögyal Namkhai Norbu likes to say of himself: “I am a simple person”.
Dzogchen or Total Perfection, is an ancient spiritual teaching developed inTibet within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. It does not belong to a school ora religious system. Rather, it is the knowlege that Tibetan masters transmit without the limitation of sectarianism. Dzogchen is the concrete understanding of our state of existence, a key that can open individuals' consciousness, regardless of their culture or religion. The heart of the Dzogchen teaching is the true nature of every being, the primordial state, which is free from karma and all conditioning.
Chögyal Namkhai Norbu was born in Derghe in Eastern Tibet in 1938. He arrived in Italy in 1960, by invitation of Giuseppe Tucci, to colaborate with the work of the Institute of Middle and Far Eastern Studies (IS.M.E.O.). From 1964 to 1992 he was professor of Tibetan and Mogolian language and literature at the Istituto Universitario Orientale in Naples.
VAJRA DANCE
The Vajra Dance was taught by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in the early 1990s. The main aim is to allow practitioners to integrate movement with contemplation. It is meditation in movement, with simple and harmonious gestures, which leads to a deep relaxation and helps to harmonise one’s physical and mental energy.
The Vajra Dance is practised on a mandala, which represents symbolically both the individual and also the dimension in which we live - our universe.

Starts at 10:00 on August the 20th and finishes in the afternoon of August the 27th . The course is reserved for those who know both the male and the female parts of the Dance of the Song of the Vajra and have taken part in at least one course at the first level. Cost: 288 Euro with no discount.

REGISTRATION
To attend the teachings with the Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu please register at the office from 10:00 to 15:30 on the opening day of the retreat and between 8:30 and 9:30 during the following days.
To enrol in the courses of Yantra Yoga, Vajra Dance and all workshops please contact the office and pay 25 euro on advance at least 10 days before the beginning of the course. If a minimum number of participants is not reached, the courses will be cancelled. Payment should be made with postal order indicating your name and the course you are booking into:

In order to take part in the activities one must be a member of the Dzogchen Community. Those who take part for the first time should pay 15 Euro as the first installment of membership fee of the Dzogchen Community. The payment of this installment does not entitle to member's discounts.
