Francesca La Rosa lives in Catania, where she was born; she's a keen teacher and worker of bobbin lace, an art she's been practising for a very long time, developing also a personal technique to work lace with relief. She taught lace in a public school for some time, obtaining for this reason a certificate that enables her to teach lace professionally. She also taught by mail. She took part to Sansepolcro International Lace Biennial, as well as to many lace shows in Catania
