Rita Perciballi Pieri
Terracina (LT)

Rita Perciballi Pieri, born in Velletri, lives now in the old sea town of Terracina. She' always been very fond of traditional feminine works like embroidery and crochet, but her greatest is bobbin lace. She learnt it in Cantù, where she attended courses that gave her also a professional recognition as a lacemaker. She's also able to create her own designs, in a continuous search for new forms of expression.

She's been showing her artistic works in many Italian towns since 1985, with  good success both in critic and in public. She also took part to Sansepolcro International Lace Biennial, where she gained the 3rd Prize in 1998 and the gold medal in 2000 for "Jubilee Angel", a lace work entirely designed and executed by herself.

She is a reference point in Terracina for what concerns the spread of the art of lace.
