Shock art? Non amiamo particolarmente quest'espressione. Quando abbiamo fondato la "Clair-obscur", ci siamo proposti di rendere accessibile al pubblico l'arte più trasgressiva, oscura ed estrema. La provocazione, a nostro giudizio, dovrebbe dar vita a dibattiti, che superino i limiti imposti dalla morale inibitrice e dallo status-quo della nostra società decadente. Telegiornali e programmi sportivi che si alternano ad immagini di guerra, spettacoli erotici e ricette di cucina, risse organizzate e operette a seguire. Zapping, vivere, amare, cacare, pisciare, litigare, consumare - è la vita.

Cos'è dunque l'arte? Beh. Non ne abbiamo idea. Non forse lo stimolo di ognuno di noi nel momento in cui osserva un'espressione umana sotto forma multimediale?

  Shock Art? We do not really like that expression. At the time. when we founded the Clair-obscur Gallery, we intended to make provocative, obscure and strange art accessible to the public. Provocation from our point-of-view should tantalize a discussion about artistic expression, which deviates from the moral status quo of our present decadent western consumersociety: sports news next to the warrios immagine, erotic shows and TV cooks, fictionalized fistfights and opera concerts: zapping-life, love shitting, pissing, fighting, consuming - c'est la vie.

What is art? Yuck. No idea. Is not the stimulus each and every one of us gets from watching human articulation in multi-medial form?

   Schock Art? Wir mögen diesen Begriff nicht so sehr . Als wir die Clair-obscur Galerie gründeten, haben wir uns zum Ziel gesetzt, provokante, obskure & skurrile Kunst einem Schweizer Publikum zugänglich zu machen. Provokation in unserem Sinne soll anregen über künstlerische Ausdücke zu diskutieren, welche vom moralischen Status-Quo unserer heutigen dekadenten westlichen Konsumgesellschaft abweichen: Sportschau neben Kosovo-Krieg, Erotiksendungen und Kochstudio, fiktionalisierte Prügeleien und Opernkonzerte: Zapping -Leben , Lieben, Scheissen, Pissen, sich Streiten, Konsumieren - C'est la vie.

Was ist Kunst? Böh. Keine Ahnung. Ist es nicht der Stimulus jedes eilzelnen beim Betrachten einer menschlichen Artikulation in eine multimediale Form?
