Ammit (chi) - Extreme Speed Satan Cd 1000x (War Hammer Rec. '03)

Ammit is a chilean band which in the word of Count Czar Yang, the founder member, was formed in 1991 but even if a bunch of demotapes were done during the early years none heard talking about a band which never spread out their stuff and didn't make interviews to 'zines nor playing in any gig. Extreme Speed Satan is barbaric & cruel. A thrash/black metal caudron direcly from hell, with tipical southamerican rotten sound, not very technical but primitive styled metal devoted to some german 80's thrash, even if in general the mood is evilest and more "quiet"... doom. I Wanna Burn In Hell while listening to Extreme Speed Satan. Unfortunately I think that this Cd is sold-out from mailorders and by the way War Hammer Rec. is now a glorious remembrance from the past... maybe you have to wait some repress or try at Egay, good luck.

Ammit (chi) - Mass Suicide/Steel Inferno Cd (From Beyond Prod. '04)

Violent and uncompromising, this band from Chile delivers through From Beyond Prod. its early works which were done first up of the Extreme Speed Satan album on War Hammer. Mass Suicide was originally released as a Cd-r in 2000 and in effects can be considered their second album, being Steel Inferno the first which was issued as a tape album in 1998. As I told in the previous review the sound is fucking violent and typical of southamerican bestial black metal, maybe with a certain dose of old style thrash riffs, and if you want a comparison I can quote Morbosidad for the same barbaric approaching with the instruments, even if the Ammit style is a little more primitive having some early Sodom/early Kreator influences which are clearly recognizable. This Cd consists of 21 tracks including also 3 songs from a studio session 2004, for a total running time of 70 min ca.

Anael (ger) - Necromantic Rituals Cd 666x (Barbarian Wrath '04)

With a band name like this (Anael is one of the seven angel of the seven worlds, in the jewish occultism), a logo that reminds the early Samael one, and a cover of the Cd that is making the verse to Worship Him, what do you expect? Yes, total Samael kult worshipping, one of my fave of fave black metal bands ever!! Also Seraphackh, the vocalist imitates at his best the supreme evil style of vociferation done by Vorphalack in 1991, and that guitar sound, intense and magnificent like presencing to a black mass while the drums plays perfectly slow and creates doom everywhere: occult black metal, supreme album. Invert the crosses and praise Satan, Necromantic Rituals is a full immersion in the evilest dark. If you think that Worship Him is one the best album in black metal, you can't miss to listen Anael... lack of personality and total unshameful ass-licking? Probably, but who knows? Soon an interview in the fields of My Heart Bleeds for You 'zine... (vinyl version available from Iron Tyrant Rec., Italy)

Lust/Anael (can/ger) split Cd (Iron Tyrant '03)

Iron Tyrant, north italian extreme metal label released this cool split between the well known canadese war/occult/nazi/etc. (?!) band Lust, whose discography is already full of split 7"/Lp and so on, and the early Samael clone-band, german Anael. The Lust side consists of 6 trax including 3 intros and the style is the very same Lust is famous for: typical canadese war wetal with the vocals of Sabazious Diabolus resembling to a tortured pig, and a bad, crude self-made recording that don't let you taste the music perfectly, if something tasteable there is... last 4 trax are from Anael which experiments the most possible variations in riffs and composition that can be done with a style built up 15 years ago from the godz Samael... yes, probably a total lack of personality, but on the other side, without knowing the dinamics of what's behind the choice of the band I consider this just great music and this split a cool purchase; to increase the discourse, a cover from Death SS' Black Mummy is here, with Seraphackh (vc+gt) cloning the Steve Sylvester voice and style of singing like none can do (!!)... being clone or not, Anael is fucking great and worthy of an interview within these pages as soon as possible...

Bloodhammer (fin) - Abbedissan Saatanalliset Houreet Cd 500x (Northern Heritage '04)

I bought this Cd since their name sounded like a Hellhammer ass-licking clone band, and liked the idea of spending my money to listen a Cd that way; anyway my idea was wrong cause this finnish (I suppose) band makes the best possible noise and plays with controllated rage, mixing quite simple guitar riffs, a little "punk" in their approach, with speed harsh metal riffs here and there and schizoid insane vocals that have nothing to do with the Hellhammer approach...  and by the way references to metal music in their lyrics  (which are mostly about hate against humanity, war, destruction, alcohol and the usual stuff) gives you the idea of the aura of the rawness & cruelty Bloodhammer can create, total thrash. Fuck the nuns. Released from the supreme Northern Heritage label.

Corpoparassita (ita) - Zona Mutilazioni Cd-r 50x (AssassinMonk '04)

Ambient music is made to be listened at candlelight, only this way you can clearly understand the emotions and the feelings that the artist wanted to impress within notes and chords. So maybe a review is completely useless, but I can say that I appreciated the work of this unknown italian project called Corpo Parassita (Parasite Body). Cryptic ambience, calm and limpid like some Cold Meat Industry bands, but also distressing like Profane Grace et similia, with enigmatic song titles like L'Eterno Messaggio delle Pietre (The Eternal Message of Stones), Preghiera per Arrestare la Perdita di Sangue (Prayer to Stop the Loss of Blood), Il Sogno di Cinabro (The Cinnabar Dream)...

Crucifixion Wounds (ger) - War Summoning Cd 1000x (Deathstrike Rec. '04)

After an intro that reminds a bit Beherit's Tireheb, or Nuclear Girl, the noise starts with a simple ultra overdriven guitar riff and vocals' modulation a-la The Oath Of Black Blood, and the assonance with early Beherit, or maybe the total worshipping of the sound created in their first Lp becomes clear. War Summoning is the debut Mcd from this solo project from the german underground, and for sure is nothing progressive and add nothing new to what is already well experimented in the most bestial side of the black metal cult, but we don't care about question like these: involution is our law, primitive evil sounds is what I seek, and Beherit is a cult. Limited edition of 1000 copies, only for the true worshippers.

Cult Of Daath (usa) - Under The Cover Of The Triumphant Holocaust Cd 1000x (Antinomian/BlackMetal.com '04)

Desperately looking for a copy before it was sold-out, at least I'm grabbing one of it: I appreciated a lot every Cult Of Daath release and Ididn't can miss the repress on Cd of their 2 demos Under The Cover Of Darkness (which was released as a pro tape by War Hammer Rec. in 2002) and The Triumphant Holocaust (self-produced 2001); the best part is for me the trax 1-4 (Under The Cover...) which not only are better recorded than the 5-7 (The Triumphant Holocaust) but also more raging and the riffs and in general the composition is more well thought out.  In my opinion this Cd can be considered a jewel for those into Us' black metal since, even their short life, Cult Of Daath represented with a few other Us' bands a glorious moment of the rising of that movement and that scene which in USA is becoming stronger and stronger... at the end a previously unreleased track titled Necromancers Lust

Goatpenis (bra) - Semen 1992 - Anno Domini Cd (Infernus Rex '04)

Uh, what a cult Cd here we have (sarcastically)! Recorded at its best (yes, why not) another resumed old rehersal/demo/old stinky tape from this horrible band which would like to appear kult and kult but in my opinion is nothing but a shitty fake. The music on this Cd consisted of 11 monotonous extreme metal pieces (the last one being a tremendous version of Venom's Countess Bathory - I wouldn't call this black metal): for me this is not clearly an evolution confronting this material done in 1992 with their previous demos put on the Trotz Verbot, Nicht Tot Cd: the line-up is quite different and from the grindcore inspired "satanic" metal here  we have a somewhat closed-up kind of death/black metal with some remembraces of their brazilian origin... not recommended since I think this is pure shit.

Goat Semen/Anal Vomit (per) - Devotos Del Diablo Cd 666x (War Hymns Rec. '04)

I had the promo '00 from Goat Semen and it was an half hour of pure shit since the recording level was terrible and the listener didn't can make himself an idea of the potential of this strong band from Peru; anyway here's  just the repress on Cd of their self-titled demo which I never got a copy of (aaargh!!!), published in limited edition of 666 copies split with Anal Vomit that presents us a repress of the Into The Eternal Agony demo '97 + 4 rehearsal trax from 1999. As you probably know, Goat Semen is formed by E. Neyra (bs +vc, formerly on Black Angel), Satyricon (dr) and Levifer (gt + bs), and if you already know Levifer then you maybe know what to expect: these demons can play with a technic that blow off 90% of the idiotic death/black metal bands which claim the music to be metal without knowing how to play the genre... by my side I can say that for me what they play is a kind of more improved early style of Sarcofago's INRI (vocals of Neyra are identic to W. Antichrist, with the same intonations on the screams, and the way of playing drums is just a more technical one): fantastic, superior, 666% evil and metal. Southamerican Black/Death Metal Destruction. tracks 8-16 are instead of Lustful Death Metal from Southamerica, played with less technic but with an excellent drumming; still pure metal with an old feeling, guttural vocals and a personal style, already built up in the demo and nothing but improved in performance in the rehearsal tracks. A must if you like southamerican sounds of metal.

Gravewürm (usa) - Into Battle Cd (Barbarian Wrath '04)

Strange stuff. I really don't know how to define this Cd, maybe this style can be said death sulphuric metal or whatever, it sound like death metal with evil vocals, but curiously, it isn't death metal, nor something near to black... anyway is something never heard, even if the riffs are quite simple in its composition. For what I know Gravewürm is a side project of some people from Nun Slaughter (a band which I hate, for the fact that the play punk and call it death metal), but fortunately the two bands have nothing in common on the audial side. The vocals are cool and all in all it's not a bad album, but nothing more. First of spending your money listen to the mp3's on the Barbarian Wrath web site.

Incriminated (fin) - Kings Of Misery Cd (From Beyond '04)

I had already listened to a track by Incriminated from their cool split ep w/Nuclear Winter (gre) and I remember it was so explicitly Hellhammer cloning, but maybe this time (probably this is their 2nd or 3rd full-lenght album) they accelerated a bit the mood, and all it feels a bit more hard-core... still simple idiotic riffs which a retarded 14 years old guy can play too, and the same croaking vocalist irritating our hears: for Hellhammer fans, otherwise if you consider this style music for idiots which aren't able to play more than 3 chords and legitimize their unability with this laudautory shit of the necro primitive sound, you're probably right and the only use you do with this cd is to clean your ass with the inlay card.

Masokismi (fin) - Häpeällinen Siveysoppi Cd (Bestial Burst '04)

Have you ever approached a punk/hard core album with inverted crosses and blasphemic stupid artwork inside the booklet? Oh damn, what the fuck this band does play? This is not any kind of metal, anyway Beherit are on the thanx list (for inspiration)... Masokismi is a two piece from Finland and playing without a bass guitar they do some noise mixing grindcore/hardcore with thrash metal/black metal and use to scream upon this shit, and call it "black core". I think that if I'm in the mood I want to listen to something strange, I can like them, some trax are good, others are too short, but anyway I take this album for what it is, a piece of crap.

Raven's Bane (usa) - Misery Preserved (Baphomet Rec. '03)

Robert Cruzan, better known as Ixithra of Demoncy fame finally released the debut Cd of his solo project Raven's Bane, Misery Preserved. Do you want my opinion? This Cd has a cool graphics, but I don't consider the music more than that should be considered; it is 7 long tracks for 48 minutes of normal ambient drones, without any other idea or else, just drones. You can ask why the decision to release this material with another name, instead of releasing as Profane Grace, and the logical answer is that while Profane Grace is dark-ambient music, Raven's Bane is nothing but an apparence of dark-ambient "music" (the words that fits at its best should be "drones").

Runemagick (ger) - Darkness Death Doom Cd (Aftermath Music '03)

This is my first Runemagick Cd and for sure it's the last one too. I thought that this german band was something outstanding and their doom/death metal was something extremely potent and unbelievable, yet it's a delusion since it's a sufference to listen them for me. A real breaking of my balls to listen the whole Cd lasting around 58 minutes. Extremely monotonous with tempo changes, 10 riffs in a song, cool melodies here and there, but believe me: monotonous and flat, like the 95% of the nowadays doom/death metal which I consider pure crap on which the definition "doom" have not a sense... this should be doom?! Doom?! This is just ugly death metal masked with some slow tempos to appear at least a bit apocalyptic. I think this should be their last album since I don't give a fuck about being informed about their shit Cd's, but if you like them, check out their web site or get in touch with me and send your list of trade for my copy of Darkness Death Doom that I'll be pleased to give away... never again, I swear.

Sarcofago - Lust For Death bootleg Cd 1000x (no label, released in '04 )

Crafty botleggers around the miserable world, come on! How this cool idea to release a compilation with the early demos by the Sarcofago kult? This Cd is limited to 1000 copies only, maybe a positive thing, maybe not, but I don't give a shit; the artwork is nice and the contents consists of the Christ's Death demo '87 (Christ's Death, Desecration Of Virgin, Satanic Lust) + the Satanic Lust demo '88 (Intro, Satanas, Nightmare, Third Slaughter) + two trax of a shitty sounding rehearsal from '89 (Sex, Drinks And Metal, Alcoholic Coma). A hidden track beetwen the demo and the reh. is probably done by the bootlegger (drunk, while listening Bathory) who is shrilling thanks to a friend of him, interesting bootleg...

Sarcofago - Nights In Hell bootleg Cd (Warhammer Rec. '01)

Warhammer Records... not the now closed Us' kult label, but I think this bootleg comes from Peru, and anyway it's a shitty bootleg: 10 trax for around 38 minutes of backdropped shitty sound from two shows Sarcofago did in 1987. Kult? Being kult or not kult it is a true breaking of your balls to listen to this crap, being Sarcofago playing it or not. And those well diffused pictures (what a cure in making a record) on the inlay card and the back cover, and that fake over-zoomed logo: yes, a bootleg done by beggars for ragamuffins.

Beherit/Archgoat - Down There/Jesus Spawn bootleg 12" marble vinyl, 500x (no label, released in '04)

The nth Beherit bootleg, the press on vinyl of the Lord Diabolus demo '91 "Down there", split with Archgoat's "Jesus Spawn" demo '92!! LImited edition of 500 copies in purple splattered vinyl, done by an unknown (unknown?!) north american label and spread out mostly through Ebay, this 12" (plays at 45 rpm) was descripted having a new cover or whatever, which in effects is a collage of "The Oath Of Black Blood" and "Angelcunt, Tales of Desecration" drawings by Chris Moyen. Anyway it is a bootleg worthy of the expense of 14 usd; tracks included are in the Beherit side: Intro (Tireheb)/ Six Days With Sadistic Slayer/ Nocturnal Evil/ Fallen Souls. And by Archgoat: Black Messiah/ Death And Necromancy/ Rise Of The Black Moon/ Angelcunt: Tales Of Desecration/ Jesus Spawn.

Revenge - Triumph. Genocide. Antichrist. picture Lp 500x (Nuclear War Now! Prod. '04)

Revenge is already kult. This is the re-issue on picture Lp done by the Nuclear War Now! label last year of the first Revenge album originally released under Osmose Prod., and it's still an earthquakwe, like everything done by this war metal kommando, which among the things, features Pete Helmkamp of Angelcorpse/Order From Chaos as a full-time member doing bass and 2nd vocalist. If you already know any of Revenge stuff, I think there's no need to describe you this holocaustic music: canadian war metal, unbelievable raging and fast, with grindcore filtered vocals and hoarse screams and outstanding tempo changes here and there; in my opinion better than own a copy of the original Osmose Lp, regular edition includes also a carton sleeve and a great poster.

Sarcofago - I.N.R.I. picture Lp 1000x (Nuclear War Now! Prod. '04)

Wonderful repress on picture Lp including unedited old photos (from the famous cemetary photo-session which the original I.N.R.I. cover Lp is an example), and marvel of marvels, 12" booklet in hard paper/carton with 20 pages full of kult pics, old reviews taken from 'zines of the time, flyers, ads, and lyrics, credits... everything. An extreme kult collectors' item like every vinyl released from NWN!. The sound of this new release by Nuclear War Now! prod. is at its best and the graphical aspect let you scream of joyness while you're handling such a fantastic Lp... limited to 1000 copies, but I think that now you have to ask to some underground distros, since probably it is near to be sold out from everywhere...
