SERCo Limited
(England). Serco is an international
Task Management and Systems Engineering contractor.
I am working as Scheduling and LISP Expert consultant at the
European Southern Observatory
(ESO) in Garching bei Muenchen (Germany).
ESO is an international research
institute operating on an astronomical observatory located in La Silla,
Chile.
I am working on 2 scheduling projects: Short Term Scheduler and Long Term Scheduler for
ESO's new Very Large Telescope (VLT) observatory on Cerro Paranal,
Chile, in cooperation with the
Space Telescope Science Institute,
Baltimore, MD (U.S.A.).
The system is developed using Common LISP, SQL, and Tcl/Tk in an Unix environment.
The working language in ESO is English.
During this period I attended several technical courses, such as:
"Java programming" with a Sun instructor,
"SQL" with a Sybase instructor.

Bull HN Sud of
Group Bull
(France). I worked in the Expert Systems Group
as Project Leader in small projects.
The Bull HN Sud Expert Systems Group is part of the
Bull HN Italia
System Integration Division. Our mission was the optimization of
industrial processes and we worked in Northern and Southern Italy.
During this period I attended the following courses:
"Knowledge-Based Scheduling" with instructors: Mark Fox and Monte Zweben
during the "International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence".
"Business Management" with a Bull Teacher
"Project Management" with an external Software Consultant Teacher
"Software Quality" to learn and observe ISO-9001 Rules in order to
obtain the ISO-9001 Certification of Bull HN Italia System Integration
Division, as we effectively obtained in 1995.
"Production Planning Module of SAP R/3" with SAP AG teachers.
Several technical courses in: operating systems, relational data bases,
programming methodologies, programming languages such as:
"Object Oriented Analysis"
"Object Oriented Design"
