I am a 60's garage fanatic
and the Seeds first two albums are right at the top of my
"favorites" list. I saw Sky recently on a local PBS television show
filmed in Madison, WI. He performed with some of the members of The Shadows
of Knight - they all were just as good as ever! |

as magic and charismatic as ever! It was such a treat to see him again and to
see the room jumping! Sky Sunlight, you are an icon and a treasure, and we
love you! Electra and OB |

Hi Sky(e) Friends and Family
- I first met Sky smoking a smoke of some sort in front of The Sea Witch in
Hollywood mid-60s - and last visited with him imid-90s in Eugene. Oregon. Sky
and friends (including Sam Andrew of Big Brother & the Holding Co.)
played their butts off in the smallest dive in town to an enthusiastic crowd
of 13 (myself included) - with great versions of "Up In Her Room"
and all the rest. Sky was still Sky and I am still me - I hope the rest of
you are all still you too! - On a personal note - SAF Publications in London
http://www.safpublishing.com/ will be releasing my first book of memoirs:
"AsEverWas" in October 2002 - The promo for my book (which fondly
remembers Sky and many others) is just under the bits for Gentle Giant and
guitarist Brian May. Thanks very much if you take the time - and if you like
here is a vignette from the book regarding my Hollywood daze and nights on
this particular set. "Laguna - Hollywood Transition" @
http://www.jackmagazine.com/renhist.html - Cheers to everyone who is still
who they are - Hammond - PS Please visit my current web site - The 3rd Page -

Great web site! It so nice
to see such great comments on the Seeds & Sky. As a young Punk fan, the Seeds
rank right up there with the Ramones, Velvet Underground, Stooges, Sex
Pistols, and MC5. I have a question. On the Artists who covered the Seeds and
other curiousities list, for the cover of "No Escape" on L' rock de
Olympia ici, it just says "Lou's" for the artist who covered it.
What Lou? Please tell me it's Lou Reed, cause that would really be something |

I first ( and last ) time I
met Sky when I was walking along the Pacific Coast Highway in the winter of
1970. He pulled up in his car and said "Hey man, where ya going?" I
said I didn't know. I was 19 at the time and Sky gave me a ride to his house-
which I believe was somewhere in Topanga Canyon. We had something that
approximated sex for the most of the afternoon. The most peculiar thing I
recall was that Sky spoke entirely in the present tense- which is difficult
to do, if you think about it. I then had to call a cab in order to leave-
can't remember why this was the case. There were no hard feelings- I left,
and that was the last time I saw Sky. In 1970 stupid things like that happen |

Why don't the Seeds have out
a bunch of live CDs like the early rehearsals and Hollywood Bowl and all the other
ones that exist? Every other great 60's or 70's bands have tons of stuff
(i.e. The Dolls, MC5, Electric Prunes, Love, Pink Floyd.) This sucks. |

when i first met shy i was a
little girl of 11 yrs old, my sister married his brother bob, and i was
thrown into his world. my sister first knew Sky, she met him when she worked
at wallachs music city, a huge record store at sunset and vine. I just want
to say that some of my happiest memories of my child hood are from New Years
eves spent with my family, Sky,his family, and his girlfriend Whitney Blake,
(he should have married her) and I had the best Christmas Eve's and Christmas
morning's at Skys home in Malibu on Big Rock, overlooking the ocean, high in
the hills.it was the best, and the world was there, to me, a little girl it
was the best.he was different back then, but yet the sweetest. I can still
remember him teasing me, and he was so gracious. I just wanted you guys to
hear about a different side to Sky, one few knew, but one I knew.He was so
funny, he and so insistant back then, I can remember planing Christmas Day
Dinner, we had a crap load of food to cook, 3 turkeys and 2 whole hams, Skys
oven wasn't working so we had to cook it all in our oven at home then
transport it in the pouring rain, it was storming and freezing and PCH was as
usual flooded, but we made it and Sky was really proud of the spread my Mom
and Sister made, it was fun, and a time I will never forget. |

info and details on groups from Hollywood then. I would like to invite you to
take a look at my site at: www.hollywoodhangover.com Sky Saxon and the Seeds
are mentioned, but I don't have any information on who the rest of the band
members were in those days. Sky lived down the hall from us at the House of
Awareness. I'm sure he would never forget that place, in case he ever reads
this. Nancy, Cooker, and Dixie |

It seems to me that THE
SEEDS were the longest haired beat combo in the U.S. in'65 before any fame
and fortune. They would've been just another very long haired combo in
England back in '64 (there were beat scenesters looking like Jesus in England
in '64). So why did THE SEEDS get short haircuts -Beatle mops- in '67? I was
just wondering. I read an interview with The Organist. Far Out. Decent cat. |
