The ORSO DIVING of Cavallò  is located inside the Hotel de Pecheurs, about twenty meters from the small harbour of this touristic island. The size of the diving center is proportional to the receptiveness of Cavallò, therefore small but very well equipped. There is a dozen of complete 2002 scuba-equipment, one compressor of 16 M3/per hour and a 5.5 meters rubber boat with an overboard engine of 40 Hp, for maximum 6 divers + one guide.

THE STAFF is composed of a PADI Instructor and a PADI Dive Master, both well experienced and able to satisfy any demand. The Cavallò base is not only an autonomous diving center: it has also the important function to support the "Full-Day" excursions of the Orso Diving Poltu Quatu.

THE DIVES: Maybe it's enough to point out that the famous "City of Groupers" of Lavezzi, probably the most famous dive spot of the Mediterranean, is only 500 meters from the diving! Moreover, within a few miles there are many other more and more beautiful dive spots! Basically we’re here in the middle of the Mouths of Bonifacio, in a unique ecosystem, survived thanks to the 20 years long protection of the National Marine Park of Lavezzi: in a depth of only a few meters it is common to meet big groupers, shade-fishes and breams, while in the deep blue barracudas and shoals of amberjacks are easy to see. We can say without doubts that no other diving center in the Mediterranean has a better position than ours in Cavallò!  The rules regarding management and organization of the dives are the same of the Orso Diving Poltu Quatu.

The Island of Cavallò and the Island of Lavezzi (which gives the name to the Marine Park) both face the Mouths of Bonifacio, a true Mediterranean sanctuary for its unique flora and fauna. On the island there is a small touristic harbour, perfectly inserted in the incomparable beauty of the Natural Park of Lavezzi, which offers the best engineering solutions. The wood wharf, the offshore dike in granite and the discreet infrastructures create comfort and reserve a warm welcome, without altering the surrounding nature. Even if the island is French territory, when you reach it from Italy (the Island of Razzoli in the Archipelago of La Maddalena is only 6 miles away), it does not seem to be in France. As a matter of fact, 90% of the properties are Italian and everybody speaks Italian! Cavallò is a very exclusive private island, summer residence of many VIPs: "common people" can only visit the harbour and the island’s hotel, the enchanting Hotel des Pêcheurs, where the Orso Diving is located.   The island can be reached only from the sea, and the only vehicles allowed on the few existing streets are little electric golf cars. It’s a true oasis of peace, untouched nature and spectacular colors.

The hotel is fantastic for its position, surrounded by a crystalline sea. It has 40 rooms endowed with all comforts; some of them are hidden among rocks smoothed by the wind.
