Why
voluntary work?
Why do Rangers commit themselves?
It is necessary to remind our readers
that due to Law n.266 (1991) our
Country recognizes social value and the
objective of voluntary work seen as the
expression of the people's desire to
participate in the achievement of an aim which
has a social, civil and cultural nature.
The propulsive incentive which enlivens
voluntary associations is therefore
solidarity and the commitment to pursue
objectives of general interest identified by
the State, the Regions and Local Societies.
It is important to highlight that
voluntary work is accomplished in
a spontaneous and personal manner,
and is free-of-charge. We are a "no-profit"
association, incompatible with any profitable
objective.
In the light of the laws in force,
the figure of the volunteer becomes univocal
and free of ambiguity. Naturally the areas
where to intervene are numerous: giving
assistance to the sick and the elderly,
give help to drug addicts and HIV infected,
the prevention of forest fires, intervention
in natural disasters, radio links for any
type of emergencies, etc. Every organization
is always ready with its means, its
professionalism, its civil commitment at its
utmost, both from the economical point
of view and the persons ready to sacrifice
their own free time.
Our commitment is mainly concentrated
on some of these sectors: environmental
protection (prevention of forest fires, protection
of flora and fauna, etc); civil
protection interventions even in the case
of disasters (natural and non); intervention
in the prevention of pollution of water courses
and reservoirs, etc. These are our main
areas of intervention.
If what we have just stated interests you
and you don't want to flout our
resolution; if you want to dedicate some of
your time to a useful cause and help
yourself and others….. simply enroll.
