The idea of Sardinia Domus a su Mari S.r.l. was conceived in the mind of a Sardinian who left this Mediterranean island when he was just a young boy and found out, coming back much later in his life, that he had left a paradise. After visiting mainland Italy, he landed to Sardinia and was simply amazed at what he could see, taste and feel. Yet, most of the times only mainland Italy is known to foreigners, due to Italian immigrants who left during the last centuries. Not many Sardinians left their island home and the Italians who left, knew very little about Italy apart from their region and the surroundings of their small towns and villages. Sardinia, with its unique culture , history and cuisine, is therefore little known to many of us, except extremely wealthy residents of our planet who have chosen the Mediterranean, Italian island of Sardinia as their summer playground.

Sardinia Domus a su Mari is your Villa on Italy's island gem. Nature created a geo-miracle, gilding the island with almost endless white sandy beaches and limpid aquamarine waters. But Sardinia is something more than a locked up jewel in a summer sea. Sardinia is rustically set apart, is blessed with a south maritime climate, with rounded green mountains, and vast vineyards on fruitful hills, meadowed valleys, abundant orchards, and varied visible historical ruins which date back to 4000 b.C.

Tours are planned so that our guests can seize the opportunity to sample some of Italy's finest wines at the cantinas where they are produced and experience the real Sardinia, savouring a bite of Sardinia's Pecorino cheese straight at the "Caseifici", that is where this cheese is given birth..

Sardinia was conquered and ruled for millennia by foreign peoples. The original inhabitants, the Sardi, who built the great Nuraghi towers were first conquered by the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, then by the Romans, Byzantines, the Moors, and in turn by different city states (Pisa, Genova), and finally by Spain. All of these peoples left distinctive and still visible marks on the culture and landscape of Sardinia. We assist you in visiting their citadels, tombs, ravaged castles, walls and towers.

For summer guests (April to end of October) Sardinia Domus a su Mari makes available, Villa Vacations, Sailing Vacations, Hotel Vacations all-inclusive. During winter months (from November to March), our particular Tours and Amateur Vacation Tournaments are made available; Sardinia Domus a su Mari Wine Tasting Tour, Sardinian Mountain Bike Tour, Sa Sartiglia of Oristano, Sa Mattanza of Carloforte, add to these our two special Domus a su Mari amateur tournaments; Sardinia Domus a su Mari Amateur Golf Tournament and the sardinia Domus a su Mari Amateur Windsurfing Tournament.
