The course is designed for those students who love Italian cinema. 

 The course will examine some aspects of the Italian cinema with reference to the problems and social features of contemporary Italy, literature and other visual arts and  with a viewing and stylistic analyses of important scenes

Cinema and Society in Contemporary Italy through the presentation and analysis of a specific movement (Neo-realism, Comic cinema, Comedy, Italian style) or director (Fellini, Rossellini, De Sica, Pasolini, Antonioni, Bertolucci, Ferreri, Risi, Bolognini, Monicelli, Comencini, Salvatores, Tornatore, Moretti, Benigni, Pieraccioni)

Mediterranean Society and Culture (art, cinema, literature, folklore: through the anthropological analysis of the typical folk dance called PIZZICA)
