Laura

Laura is a 2 ways horn loaded loudspeaker system fully designed, hand crafted, and manufactured in Italy by Aliante s.r.l. with optimum design and finishing with very compact size in respect to the low end frequency response and efficiency. The design is sweet for a very simple in-house placement .The 8 ^1/2" woofer has been especially custom made by Aliante s.r.l for the Laura and Diana Royal Device loudspeaker systems. The woofer has a mean sensitivity of 97 dB together with high velocity, dynamic response and an extremely extended low frequency response due to the woofer back horn loaded system. The new RD-HORN is a perfect complement to it. The horn is a completely custom design Royal Device product that together with the use of a soft dome SEAS tweeter reproduces full 1– 20 KHz bandwidth with more than 102 dB efficiency together with a completely flat response without using any ogiva or phase alignment. The use of a simple first order crossover network is the best solution to afford a very minimum phase shift toward to the no crossover woofer. The choice of no crossover on woofer and 4 to 6 dB slope on the tweeter (a must for tweeter protection) avoids different time delays between fundamentals and harmonics on complex music signals thus reproducing the music program as real as the source is. The components used are first class as the new generation Aliante AudioCap PPFF custom made capacitors.
