| The purpose of these courses
is the training of young Italian musicians, which will be joined by
principal players of international level to form the ITALIAN CHAMBER
ORCHESTRA. This will study and perform masterpieces by W. A. Mozart,
L. V. Beethoven, F. Schubert, R. Schumann, so continuing a way initiated
in the last editions by wooodwinds and brasswinds. Namely we will have a full classic orchestra, which, in addition to the standard repertory, will collaborate with Soloists, Actors, Dance Groups and Singers. Specialization courses are planned to improve the artistic level of the young instrumentalists and to help them practice the symphonic and chamber repertory, and also to give them indications for their musical career. The 32 posts will be assigned by an examining committee of high reputation, which will consider curricula and auditions. The courses will last from July 15 to September 5, for a total of 300 hours, and will be held in the schools of the Commune. The winners will be hosted by the organization and will have the possinility of studying with musicians and experts of the highest international level. The courses are sponsored by the Province of Grosseto and by the European Social Fund, which agreed to promote again this initiative in view of its importance. |

The Province of Grosseto and the Education Agency IFOA, in collaboration with the Commune of Santa Fiora, organize two high formation courses for orchestral players, called "Prove d'Orchestra", for woodwinds, brasswinds, strings and percussions. The courses are supported by the European Union (F.S.E.) and will be held at Santa Fiora (Grosseto). The courses are reserved to:

Students will receive free half-board and lodging according to the regional rules regarding the European Social Funds. Course attendance is free. Admission to the courses will be determined through a selection process if the requests will be more than the vacancies for each instrument. The date and the place for the auditions (to be defined in June) will be communicated to the candidates through a telegram. An audition will consist of:
