"European Citizenship Projects"
Our Institution,
composed of SCARABEUS – Non profit Ass., Municipality
of Livorno, MICALI is a Secondary school in Livorno.
Our town is on the seaside
in Tuscany (20
km.from Pisa, 90 from Florence).
Scarabeus offers
expertise in Adult Education and organizes courses in Creative
Communication,
European Languages, Computer and
Multimedia Technologies developing new methodologies and new didactic
materials.
Micali is carrying out two Comenius
projects with european schools being equipped
with Language and Computer Laboratories.
We
are ready to cooperate as partners in Grundtvig/Minerva projects
that educational european Institutions will propose to us their
projects.
At
the same time we
invite Educational European Institutions to collaborate as partners in our
following Grundtvig/Minerva
projects:
“European
citizens in the information society” (EuCITIS).
“Intercultural
languages and experiences to improve women creativity".
The
projects goals are to give to the adult groups and to the
multicultural women groups, the means to play a full and active part in
the global society improving and updating their cultural and technological
instruments. The main claims of the projects will be achieved through a
multipurpose and active method, merging online and offline method,
interactive learning/training, intercultural and remedial education,
equality between women and men, adult groups in danger of exclusion,
immigrant help, exchange of knowledges, experiences and persons.
The evaluation will regard:
- the mastery of the acquired knowledges and skills (european
civilization, european languages, multimedia laboratory, on line learning)
- the final multimedia product made by the learners group (as
CDrom, video, web pages, etc).
With
regard to the ODL area, we propose to cooperate in the following
Minerva project
too:
"Virtual
groups to enhance european citizenship"
The
main claim of this project is to meet the european citizens demand in a
society with extended use of technology, to prepare them for a
continuously changing world and to exchange their different knowledges,
experience and cultures through the information and communication
technologies which offer today new ways to learn and communicate with ODL
methods.
