 CAMPO NOMADI CASILINO '700 - Roma 1998 -
     
Casilino 700, campo nomadi Casilino 700, com'era non troppo tempo fa ed ora dismesso. Un campo immenso, con molteplici problemi dovuti alla mancanza di assistenza di ogni genere, dall'acqua alla raccolta dei rifiuti. Un campo che sembrava proprio dimenticato da tutti ma che raccoglieva gente da ogni dove, ex Jugoslavia, Romania e Italia. Dove l'unica sensazione di speranza e di non rassegnazione è stata la presenza, o meglio l'assalto, dei bambini che giocando mi hanno scortato alla scoperta di questo mondo nascosto.
Casilino 700, a gipsy camp in Rome, like it was not time ago and now disused. It was a very big camp, with enormous problems: without drinking water, without any kind of rubbish collection....without anything. Here you could find people from everywhere, but it seemed it was completely forgot. The only positive emotion, that gave me a hope, were the children with their natural smiles. They played with me, they asked me a lot of strange things, and in the same time escorted me to discover this hidden world.
