SUMMARY:
A young artist wants to set up his art installation in an historical area. He encounters various problems: lack of understanding on the part of the head of the office for culture, the jealous outbursts of her husband, quarrels with his fiancée, and problems with an old friend, a mental patient.

The play's premiere is planned for April 2002. It has been translated into English. Jukebox, Melita! Was placed second in the Ministry of Culture's Marin Drzic drama prize competition for 2001.

SUMMARY:
We follow the morning events of an urban family, when the head of the family announced that his illegitimate son will be coming for lunch. The family is already dysfunctional: the mother drinks, the oldest daughter has a strange husband, the second daughter is mentally disturbed, the grandmother brings home socially endangered inmates from the retirement home, the grandson is having difficulties with his emerging sexuality, while the father who is head of the household has problems with his mistress.

 

BIOGRAPHY:
FILIP NOLA (Zagreb, 1967) graduated in acting from the ADA in Zagreb and has been acting in the theatre and in films for some ten years now. He is a permanent member of the Zagreb Youth Theatre (the ZKN) company. He has worked independently on several projects, both as an actor and co-director. He has been writing since early childhood.
