SUMMARY:
Fates intertwine at a small café in the Gric upper town, loves are born and end there, secrets are revealed and souls bared. People meet again here with people they have never met before, and those whom they have never met, those who live in the present and those from the past, all trying in their way to solve the eternal riddle of love.

The play was premiered at the Zagreb Youth Theatre in 2001.

MARIJANA NOLA (Split, 1975) has lived in Zagreb all her life. In 1995 she enrolled in Dramaturgy at the ADA, and graduated in 2000. Three of her plays have been published in Plima magazine: Resurrection (1996), The End of Don Juan (1997), and War on the Island of Sunset. Her The End of Don Juan won the Sfera/Sphere science fiction prize in 1997. Marijana's play The Adventures of Mupi and Chupi was performed in 1998 by the Zadar Puppet Theatre Ensemble. In the summer of 1999, her play When Men Cry was performed at the MKFM drama colony. She was awarded the Croatian Ministry of Culture's 2000 Marin Drzic prize for her play Fish-People. The Small Café on Gric had its first night at the Zagreb Youth Theatre in 2001, directed by Ms Zvjezdana Ladika. She currently works as a script writer at Croation Television in the Science and Education Programme.
