The "AS-28" PRIZ Class
Il 4 Agosto 2005 un nuovo incidente subacqueo sconvolge il mondo russo. Quasi cinque anni esatti dopo la tragedia del Kursk, il minisottomarino AS-28 (classe Priz), che si trova al largo della Kamchatka sud-orientale, rimane impigliato «ufficialmente» in una rete da pesca (si scoprirà essere un cavo di una rete di sorveglianza subacquea russa!). L'elica rimane bloccata e il battello affonda fino a toccare il fondo a -190 metri. A bordo sette uomini. Su richiesta della Russia, scattano rapidi gli aiuti da USA, Gran Bretagna e Giappone. Il 7 Agosto, il minisub radiocomandato inglese Scorpio-45 riesce a tagliare i cavi e a permettere la risalita del Priz. A bordo sono tutti in buone condizioni, l'odissea è finita.

On the 4th August 2005 a new sub incident shocks Russia. Almost five years later the Kursk tragedy, the minisubmarine AS-28 (Priz class), sailing in the sea facing south-eastern Kamchatka, is «officially» trapped by a fishing net (it will be later notified it was a Russian underwater sourveillance cable!). Propeller is blocked and the submarine goes down until it bumps the bottom, at -190 meters of depth. Seven men on board. On Russia's request, helps rapidly start from USA, UK and Japan. On the 7th August, the British radiocontrolled minisub Scorpio-45 cuts cables allowing Priz's ascension. All men are safe, the odyssey finished.
