The
new album "Shangri-La" from BROTHER APE is now mixed and
ready for the final mastering. Compared to the debut the new album
leans more towards progressive rock and has a bit less fusion influences.
Since the departure of Peter Dahlstrom, who sang 70% of the songs,
guitarist Stefan Damicolas has now taken over the lead vocals on
all tracks which, has created a more solid prog-feel to the overall
sound. Expect a highly enjoyable release with good vocals, brilliant
guitar playing, heavy fretless bass playing, lovely keyboard layers
and some truly fine drumming backing up the well composed songs.
To be released in mid July.

Digital is proud to welcome Ukrainian band KARFAGEN
into the family. The album CONTINIUM will be released on UNICORN
on the 1st of July 2006. Produced by Antony Kalugin, Matered by
Richard Addison at Trillium Sound Studios and Artwork by Jonas Thuren.
Antiquity in all times attracts and inspires people of the art.
And this band is not an exception. Karfagen – (means Karthago)
a symbol of glory and wisdom and also it is a never-ending journey
into the world of the forgotten past and un-predictable future.
Skeptics say that the Karthago was destroyed and all the music is
written. Our goal is to refute This, And even though there is no
hockey in Ukraine, there is definitely pure art-rock with bright
melodies. The name Karfagen was first heard in 1997 when Antony
Kalugin formed the band at school. While he was studying at the
architectural university (1998) he began to record the first KARFAGEN
album. It was far from the style of nowadays band but it was the
first steps which needed to be done… In 2000 KARFAGEN played
a few concerts with concept new material. But in consequence of
discrepancy between the band members, plans for the next album was
put aside In 2002 Antony completed his first solo album “the
Water” Then there was another period of silence where Antony
worked on commercial new age – relax projects. From 2003 –
2005 Antony composed and performed on more than 40 albums, that
were released in Russia and Ukraine. With those projects, Antony
gathered the necessary funds to record the first KARFAGEN Album
and in 2005 the band reformed and went into the studio to record
CONTINIUM, the first KARFAGEN album which led the band to sign with
UNICORN DIGITAL in a country where ironically there is plenty of
Hockey.

It is with great enthusiasm that SPACED
OUT
presents their fourth and latest studio work entitled “Unstable
Matter”. The album contains the high-energy jazz-rock which
is now the band’s signature, offering ten new exciting original
compositions. A lot of time has been dedicated on the performance
and production of this new record and Spaced Out fans can expect
to listen some interesting music, including more intricate interplay
and dazzling improvisation than ever before. Unstable Matter presents
compositions written and produced by Antoine Fafard who is responsible
for all the bass work, keyboard programming and, for the first time
on a Spaced Out album, many guitar tracks. Martin Maheux still on
the drums and Mark Tremblay performs the guitar solos and additional
guitars for his second contribution on a Spaced Out album. It
is a record with explorations through various dynamics, unusual
rhythmical patterns and modal textures. As always, the unique compositional
style found in Spaced Out’s music makes it hard to classify
the band. But the purpose of the band has never been to be classified.
There is no compromise in the music offered by Spaced Out. The only
rule is that the band must offer the world continuous high quality
based on their own rigorous standards.
“Unstable
Matter” is new a release that should indeed please many
ears.

The ORESUND SPACE COLLECTIVE
are half way finished with mixing our next double CD called "It's
all about Delay" with cover artwork by Ed Unitsky. It is
sounding great with tracks ranging from 5 minutes to 25 minutes,
with most around 10 minutes long. The new CD is really different
from our first one and a lot more upbeat and diverse in the sounds.
I think our fans will for sure like this one a lot. They have
just sent off a track called Waaaaaah for the Music Street Journal
Compilation CD that will be out later this year with artists,
Erik Norlander, Lana Lane, Don Schiff and Gak Omak and the OSC.
They have also completed compiling the latest 3 volumes in their
best of jam session CD-R series called Picks from Space. Volumes
8-10 should be ready in end of next week. They're just working
on the last of the artwork. They will have a good price deal for
those who buy all 3 at once. They will play their only concert
this summer on the weekend of July 21-22nd at our usual place,
the Dragens Hule. They hope to be joined by the amazing First
Band From Outer Space, who have a killer new CD out very soon.
They will make a monster jam session out of it as well.

| Unicorn
Digital is proud to welcome American prog band KOPECKY
into the family. Their new album “BLOOD” will be released
worldwide on Unicorn Digital May 2006. |
| KALEIDOSCOPE
is the second release from Montreal Prog-Fusion Band KARCIUS.
This new album is a blend between Modern Rock and Jazz-fusion that
will take the listeners to various moods and images. Mixing heavy
and powerful rock with the spontaneous jazz intensity, Karcius creates
a complex and unique sound that is hard to define. Three
years after the release of their first independent release SPHERE
that was also re-released in 2006 on Unicorn Digital. The band is
stronger than ever and definitely moving toward a modern progressive
direction while exploring the vintage sound legacy. Produced, recorded
and mixed at Studio Victor by Guitarist Simon L’Espérance
during the first part of 2006, KALEIDOSCOPE has been carefully created
to transport the listeners through different moods and imageries.
With this new instrumental CD, KARCIUS is definitively becoming
one of the best instrumental prog band from Canada. Prepare your
senses, Kaleidoscope is here… |

PROG VOLUME 1 |
come PFM, New Trolls e Arti & Mestieri, freschi reduci da
parte integrante dell'imminente CD' First Live in Japan', registrato
Entrambi i lavori escono in italia su etichetta Electromantic

After
8 years of writing, rehearsing, recording and performing, FARPOINT
took a break in late 2005 for the members to reassess their future
goals. Based on a combination of internal and external factors,
Farpoint disbanded on December 15, 2005.
With
this decision, founding members Rick Walker (drums) and Kevin
Jarvis (guitar, keyboards) immediately decided to continue their
musical partnership, uncertain as to the final direction it would
take, but never ruling out the possibility of reforming Farpoint
if the opportunity arose and conditions were right. They began
searching for and auditioning like-minded musicians with which
to begin recording a new album.
By
February, 2006, vocalist Dean Hallal and vocalis/flautist Jennifer
Meeks had been brought on board for recording purposes. Also by
this time, former Farpoint guitarist Mike Avins and former Farpoint
bass guitarist Frank Tyson had both expressed interest in playing
on the cd. All six musicians met several times in late February
and early March, and the decision was made to reform Farpoint.
Work is currently underway on Farpoint's fourth studio album,
entitled Cold Star Quiet Star.
While
Farpoint's main focus now lies in completing the new album, three
live summer shows have been set to introduce the new band lineup.
First, Farpoint will play a special, free show in our hometown
of Sumter, SC on Saturday, June 17. Details will be forthcoming
regarding the venue and time. Farpoint will also be appearing
at the Rogue Independent Music Festival in Atlanta, GA, on Saturday,
July 8, 2006, and the following week at the DC-Soar progressive
music showcase in Bethesda, MD on Saturday, July 15, 2006. More
info on these shows can be found at www.roguemusicfest.com and
www.dc-soar.org.
Farpoint
would like to thank Clark Boone and Dana Oxendine Edmunds for
their years of commitment to the band, and we wish them the very
best in all future endeavors.
Up
to date info on Farpoint can be found at www.farpointband.com

After
maintaining success with their 2003 2CD set "From Land To
Ocean", GALLEON
made a couple of gigs in Europe and then took a break for a year
before starting to write new material. Since then there has been
a slight change in the line-up. Original member Dan Fors felt
that he had achieved what he wanted with his musicianship and
called it a day and now a replacement is found. The new drummer
is multi-instrumentalist Göran Johnsson (who also is the
drummer of Spektrum and keyboard player of Cross). At this moment
they are rehearsing five new pieces. They describe the new songs
as "rooted in the Galleon tradition but also with some new,
more complex ideas adding certain freshness to the Galleon sound".
The goal is to record a new album and have it released later this
year.

UNICORN DIGITAL is proud to welcome Norwegian artist Mattis Sørum
and his project PICTORIAL WAND into the Family.
Pictorial Wand is a symphonic progrock project from Norway. It was
started in 2003 by Mattis Sörum, and it has taken him three
years to complete his debut-album "A Sleeper´s Awakening"
(double-cd). It is a one-man-project where all the musicians are
hired in especially for this album, except the guitars, the synthesizers
and the organ which is played by Mattis himself. The music is grand
and complex in the instrumentation, and strong melodies plays an
important role in the compositions. Many of the songs are pretty
long and there are many compositional relationships to bind it all
together. The voice of the main character is male, but the vocals
are decorated all the way through by three different female-voices.
The music goes from very heavy passages to lyrical acoustic themes,
and contains a lot of symphonic instruments and analogue synths.
With the symphonic orchestra and the analogue synths already mentioned
we hear solistic melodies of the flute, cello, oboe and the violin.A
Sleeper´s Awakening is a concept-album.The story is basically
about a person (any person) who wakes up after a long, deep look
in the mirror and finally becomes aware of his mistakes and the
bad and selfish way he has lived his life. This theme is set in
connection with the Seven Deadly Sins and put in a pretty abstract
environment. He starts on a journey in his dreams (or his head)
to make up for the mistakes he has done. Along the way we also hear
a little boy reading his moralistic stories, which are a reflection
of the main character´s childhood and his very severe education
from his mother. In the end he wakes up, and the main character
starts laughing with relief, but soon realizes that the dream was
real enough. Double CD "A Sleeper's Awakening" to be released
in April 2006. |
It
is with great honor and pleasure that we invite you to celebrate
35 years of Emerson, Lake & Palmer with The Carl Palmer Band,
on Saturday, May 27 2006 at the Medley (1170 St-Denis Street,
Montreal).
Carl
Palmer, the rhythmic backbone of progressive rock's first supergroup,
has been hailed as one of the world's greatest drummers, thrilling
rock fans worldwide with his dazzling speed and technical virtuosity.
The Carl Palmer Band features Carl Palmer on drums and percussion,
Paul Bielatowicz on guitar and Stuart Clayton on bass. The power
trio will serve up an all-instrumental show, entitled "Carl
Palmer Celebrates The Music of ELP".
The
tour, which will begin in late May and continue through early
July will cross Canada and the United States. Carl Palmer says:
"I am very excited to be returning to North America to see
and play for the many loyal fans I have come to know over the
years", says Palmer, who announced his tour this week from
Europe where Palmer has been touring since 2002. “This is
a trio, which ELP also was, but we have replaced the keyboards
with some very powerful guitar interpretations of that classic
music. Although ELP had a lot of vocal hit songs, we were really
about musicianship and conveying the spectrum of emotions through
our instruments. Many of the classic elements of these songs remain,
but they have been updated and reinterpreted through my new band".
Among the songs featured in the show are: Tarkus, Fanfare For
The Common Man, and Hoedown.
The
show will begin at 9:00 PM and doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets
are available for $39.50 (plus taxes and service charges) through
TicketPro at www.ticketpro.ca, or by calling 514-908-9090. A Unicorn
Digital presentation.

PHIDEAUX:
Some news from Phideaux on a new conceptual trilogy:
June 2006... Prepare for "The Great Leap" -- part one
of a new conceptual trilogy from Phideaux. Our fifth album is
a darkly passionate examination of life and sacrifice in a police
state of the future (or is it now?). Join us on our quest to expand
and explore the psychedelic progressive rock path with vintage
keyboards, guitars, Ludwig drums, theremins, flutes, cellos, autoharps
and an Armenian zurna, naturally! For a preview of this heavy
doomy album, check out the song "Abducted" on MySpace.
While Act I: "The Great Leap" arrives in June of 2006,
we will be busy finishing the recording of Act II: "Doomsday
Afternoon," which is basically one long song (modeled loosely
on the structure of Tull's "A Passion Play" or Fates
Warning's "A Pleasant Shade Of Gray").

The new album from Swedish symphonic rockers BRIGHTEYE
BRISON will be out on March 31. A release party will be
held at Blue Moon Bar in Stockholm on March 26. In comparison with
the debut from 2003 the new one, entitled "Stories" has
a much more symphonic sound, filled with lots of fine harmony vocals,
horn arrangements, 70's keyboards and a real church organ played
by Linus Kåse (also member of Flagship). The line-up is intact
with the addition of Per Hallman who takes the lead vocals (and
also does dome extra keyboard playing on stage) on some tracks.
Mattias Olsson (Änglagård) is one of several guest musicians.

The
official release date for MAGENTA's new CD 'Home'
has now been set for 01 June 2006. Advanced orders can be placed
on www.progrock.co.uk web site from early May 2006. There has been
huge interest and demand for this
release and we apologise for the slight delay. Rob Reed of Magenta
had this to say:
"Firstly
a big apology for the delay. It's been a frustrating time for us
all, but hopefully you'll all appreciate that we could not let the
album go out until it was the best it could possibly be, in every
way.
The
biggest problem has been getting the running order and sequencing
of the CD correct. Originally it was to be a double album, but after
a lot of thought and trial and error regarding the make up of the
CD, we have decided that it will now be a single album. It will,
however, be a verylong single album!
The
main reason for this is because it is a concept CD, and works best
in a single listen. Double CD's can be hard to take in, particularly
in one go, and a lot of detail can be lost with such an overwhelming
amount of material. I wanted every second and every note to really
earn its place on this album.
So,
the last couple of months have been frustrating, but it was important
to take stock of where we were, and not get carried away with the
enthusiasm of getting it released. I am positive that this slight
delay has made the difference between a good Magenta album, and
what we consider to be a classic Magenta album. I hope you'll agree!"
Magenta
have already announced some live gigs for this year and hope to
add many more in the near future. Extra dates will be announced
on their brand new web site at www.magenta-web.com, to be launched
during March 2006.
Dates announced so far include:
13
May 2006 - Herringthorpe Leisure Centre, Rotherham
20 May 2006 - De Boerderij, Zoetermeer, Netherlands
27 May 2006 - Folken (Stavanger) Norway
15 July 2006 - Gillingham Festival, Dorset. Magenta onstage 4pm,
approx one hour set
27 July 2006 - Club Riga, Southend
Some
REALLY exciting news about Magenta will be announced very soon!! |
| KNIGHT
AREA are currently recording the new album, which they plan
to release in the beginning of 2007. This album will be more powerful
and dynamic, but still the melody will be leading in all songs. The
next KNIGHT AREA concert will be in Germany, Bergkeller Reichenbach.Date:
April 8th 2006. Great bands like Pallas, Flower Kings, IQ, Ayreon,
Riverside and Pendragon have concerted here lately. |
ABEL
GANZ - Good news from Abel Ganz - the new CD is almost
finished! We hope to set the official release very soon, and a release
date around August / September is quite possible! The title will
be 'Shooting Albatross' and will contain one of two surprises -

and has an official release date of 03 April 2006! Pre-release orders
can be placed on www.progrock.co.uk from early March. Andy Edwards
of Ezra recently told us:
"Songs
from Pennsylvania is our third studio album, and we are really pleased
with it. It feels like one of those classic albums you listened
to that took you to another place, something you can put on and
just get away from it all. You may hear influences of Pink Floyd,
Yes and Rush, and like those bands, we feel it's important to use
strong melodies. It's generally more laid back than our previous
albums but there's still some good rocking
on it!" |

Some
news from RECORD HEAVEN: FIRST
BAND FROM OUTER SPACE hit the street, and have already
got several good reviews. A small description : Debut album from
Swedish gang, and this is something out of this world ! A band where
you find influences going from the sounds of GONG and HAWKWIND to
kraut / hippy feelings of TRAD, GRAS & STENAR and adding flutes
and oscillators. This is a CD that carry long instrumental jams,
broken by sci-fi stories in English vocals. Always very structured,
with plenty stoned and psychedelic cosmic sounds. visit the bands
homepage for MP3 and other information at : www.fbfos.com .
Furthermore the DRAKH VON TRIP album "Heart And Consequence"
is planned to hit the street in 2 weeks as well as a (legal) re-issue
of the old RÅG I RYGGEN (Trans013) sole album from 1975. This
is an album filled with heavy progressive rock with lots of fuzz,
swedish lyrics, and hammond sounds. This is truely a monster unleashed
!! Out mid november !!
Also planned this autumn in re-issues of both the ABRAMIS BRAMA
albums that have been deleted since 2-3 years. |
MANGROVE
will release their new album on November 4th 2005, entitled "Facing
The Sunset". This concept album will be launched on stage at
'Gigant' Apeldoorn on this date. The concept album will be performed
in its entirety during this special show! Check it out on Mangrove
website.

On
September 13th, RHINO RECORDS released the 3 CD career-spanning
‘Genesis Platinum Collection’ and ‘Genesis Video
Show’ as well as a new album and a hits collection from the
side project Mike + The Mechanics.
‘Genesis Platinum Collection’ is the first and only
retrospective to cover both Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins eras.
The four hours of music on three CDS is the most comprehensive collection
to date featuring everything from earlier Gabriel-era favorites
like “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway” to Top 40 hits
like “Hold On My Heart” and
Billboard Top 10 chart smashes “Invisible Touch”. “Follow
You Follow Me” and “Counting Out Time” are a few
of the 24 newly remixed tracks. Favorites “I Can’t Dace”,
“Tonight Tonight Tonight” and “Turn It On Again”
round out the set. A twenty page booklet with liner notes by Hugh
Fielder accompany the discs.
Founded in the late ’60s in Surrey, England, Genesis rose
out of the ashes of earlier bands formed by schoolmates Peter Gabriel,
Tony Banks, Michael Rutherford, and Anthony Phillips (who departed
after 1969’s Trespass, the album providing the final track
on this stellar retrospective). Guitarist Steve Hackett soon signed
on, as did drummer/vocalist Phil Collins, who’d later emerge
(as would Gabriel) as a solo superstar. Following Gabriel’s
1975 departure, Genesis grew from a progressive art-rock outfit
into one of the biggest arena rock acts ever, with a long string
of platinum-sellers
and chart smashes.
Additionally, all of the Genesis promo videos will be released for
the first time on DVD with ‘Genesis Video Show’. The
digitally remastered videos include MTV staples “Land of Confusion”,
“Invisible Touch”, and “I Can’t Dance”
as well as the 1999 version of “Carpet Crawlers” featuring
Gabriel. Rare BBC footage of “Paperlate” is also included.
Simultaneously, Genesis bassist/guitarist Rutherford reunites with
Paul Carrack for the first Mike + The Mechanics album since 1999,
‘Rewired’. ‘Rewired’ finds Mike + The Mechanics
in top form with nine powerful new original songs including the
driving electronic track “One Left Standing (Version A),”
the sublime ballad “If I Were You,” and the adventurous
title track. Re-mastered versions of Top 10 singles “The Living
Years”, “Silent Running” and “All I Need
Is A Miracle” are three of the 13 favorite tracks on another
new disc ‘Hits’.

MAGIC
PIE , Norwegian proggers who had immediate success, with their self
released debut album "Motions of Desire", has signed to
the Swedish label Progress Records. The album was sold out very
fast even though the sound quality was not top notch, so to make
it even better the Progress version will be re-mastered and come
with an enhanced booklet. The band, who by the way are booked for
next years Rites Of Spring Festival, has a sound that appeals strongly
to all fans of early Flower Kings or Spock's Beard with their timeless
progressive rock which is highly melodic but also quite complex
at times. Add a pinch of the energy and attitude from mid 70's Deep
Purple and you have a quite accurate description of how they sound.
"Motions of Desire" will be out on July 18, and they can
be heard on stage at the progressive rock festival Slottskogen Goes
Progressive in Gothenburg on August 13.

the bands next album which is already under way. Mike replaces Gonzalo
Carrera. The next scheduled live date for Landmarq, and the first
outing for Mike, will be at The Limelight, Crewe, on Thursday July
28th 2005. |
News
from SONUS UMBRA website: "Work on the fourth
studio album continues. Obviously the June/July 2005 release date
was a pipe dream, but we are booked to mix and master this album in
early August. After that, it's off to the printer's, but I will not
be foolish enough to anticipate a release date. It will happen sometime
in 2005, for sure, but when exactly is currently anyone's guess. Late
August/early September? We'll see. One thing we do know is the album
title. We have decided to call this beast "Digging For Zeros". |

UNICORN
DIGITAL is proud to welcome French progressive rock band NIL into
the family. French progressive rock band NIL has
been signed to UNICORN DIGITAL. Their fourth release NIL NOVO SUB
SOLE will be release this summer. Created by Benjamin Croizy (keyboards),
David Maurin (guitars and flute), Samuel Maurin (basses and Stick)
and Frank Niebel (drums), NIL was named like this in 1999. After
two confidential CDs, the band reached a higher level with "Quarante
jours sur le Sinaï (Fourty days on the Sinaï)", an
ambitious concept-album, acclaimed by many reviewers, thus giving
the band an international visibility. Till now mostly instrumental,
Roselyne Berthet added her voice to NIL's music, before actually
joining the band in 2002. The live DVD "Gouveia Art Rock Festival
2003", issued last year, permitted to offer in preview some
new compositions taken from the long-waited next album : "NIL
NOVO SUB SOLE". The album was mastered by Richard Addison at
Trillium Sound Studios. Release date and MP3 samples coming soon

Swedish
label PROGRESS RECORDS informs that a new kind of
project is born, consisting of members from Galleon, Grand Stand and
Cross, who together will perform songs by…Galleon, Grand Stand
and Cross. This makes them a kind of cover band who actually covers
themselves. First gig (and maybe the only one) will be as support
act for The Watch at the Progress Club Concert, in Stockholm, on July
1 this year. More info: www.progressrec.com/progressclub |
An
unexpected new from LANDMARQ: "We regret to
announce the news that keyboard player Gonzalo Carrera and Landmarq
have parted company. Due to increasing commitments aside from Landmarq,
it was becoming more and more difficult for Gonzalo to devote the
necessary time to the band that is required. This was an extremely
difficult band decision that was not taken lightly. Gonzalo is a fine
keyboard player and musician who has brought his own unique and individual
approach and personality to the band over the last two years. We consider
Gonzalo a friend and he will always be a part of the Landmarq family.
All of us in Landmarq wish Gonzalo every success with all that he
chooses to do in music. Following further arrangements, Gonzalo's
replacement will be announced shortly. As reported previously, recording
of the bands next studio album is already under way and is expected
to continue." |

BROTHER
APE , the Swedish prog rock band who who recently released
their debut album "On the other side"on the Progress Records
label, has lost a member. Peter Dahlstrom, who took the lead vocals
on about 60% of the tracks, has left the band for personal reasons
and will move from Stockholm for a new life in a small town. The
band says: "The remaining Brothers are not paralyzed by this.
We will continue our work with the next album! It sounds better
than ever and with Viktor Rundlöf as the "head commander"
of the mixing desk, we feel that we stand on solid ground. Of course
some changes will be made. We have to re-record some parts to fit
the new Brother Ape line up and have Stefan taking the lead vocals
on all tracks. But since we actually had two bass players and two
vocalists, it is just a matter of "symbolic sanitation"
for us that still hold the flag of Brother Ape. It's a fresh challenge
that inspires us very much and we whish our dear friend Peter a
happy and healthy life!"

Swedish
proggers LIQUID SCARLET, who had a success with their Anekdoten/Anglagard
sounding debut album, is now halfway through the recordings of the
follow-up and hope to have it out sometime during autumn 2005. Rumours
are that they with their new material are developing towards a more
distinct sound of their own which is a bit more melodic and vocal
based, but yet within the realms for the Liquid Scarlet sound.

BROTHER
APE signed to PROGRESS Records. Brother Ape is a very fine act consisting
of four very talented as well as skilled musicians. Stefan Damicolas
(vocals, guitars), who is writing most of the material with all tracks
arranged together with the rest of the band, Peter Dahlstrom (vocals,
bass, keyboards), Gunnar Maxén (bass, keyboards, vocals) and
Max Bergman (drums, percussion). Musically their sound is a unique
blend of progressive rock and fusion. At times chord changes are somewhat
in the vein of 70's fusion bands such as Weather Report or Brand X,
but performed with quite heavy, but also kind of sophisticated guitars
rather than 70's keyboard sounds. They've also got one foot in the
more traditional progressive rock style with Saga, Yes, Rush and maybe
also some A.C.T. influences with the end result creating an original
yet accessible sound of their own. Dashes of Zappa's rockier style
can also be found in their music. In late 2003 they printed 500 copies
of their debut album mainly sold at concerts. It's a very fine album,
but a bit short (37 minutes) so therefore it will be re-released on
the Progress Records label with a couple of very good tracks added
to it. Release date March 28. |

ProgAID
was set-up in the wake of the terrible earthquake and Tsunami disaster
that tragically struck on the 26th December 2004. The sheer destruction
and loss of human life was of a scale that shook the world. We considered
what the Progressive Rock community could do, even in a small way,
to help alleviate some of the suffering endured, and help towards
the rebuilding of lives and communities. We have therefore decided
to co-ordinate the recording of a CD single to help raise as much
money as possible for those that need it. The song, titled 'All
Around The World', will be recorded on the 29th and 30th January
2005, and since the decision was made, we have been overwhelmed
by the generosity of so many great musicians who have agreed to
give their time to appear on the single. The list grows daily and
currently includes:

Some
news regarding CAMEL. The live DVD and CD from the Farewell Tour
are on hold. Little Barn studios will be undergoing some major changes
in the not too distant future, and Andrew Latimer has elected to
wait until his new setup is finalised, before proceeding with the
mixing and mastering of the recordings. "The Brew" album:
This, too, has been put on hold temporarily. The time the trio spent
together wasn't quite enough to finish off the intended album, and
they are looking forward to additional recording sessions in 2005.
New studio album: Since the live recordings have been put on hold,
Andrew has returned to writing and a new studio album is starting

As
a little gift of thanks for fans patience during CAMEL's long down
time, Andrew Latimer has put up a download of a jam from the Brew
session, called "Left Luggage". They've included a bit
of fun graphic work from Debbie Dyke and a few snapshots taken while
Doug, Andy and Andrew took a few moments to relax and enjoy themselves:
http://www.camelproductions.com/brew.html.
There's also alittle surprise on the horizon, that is a remastering
of Camel' 1984 album "Stationary Traveller". Originally,
it was meant to begin with a track called "In the Arms of Waltzing
Frauleins" but the record company had their doubts and so,
back into the studio went Andrew for a marathon writing, recording,
mixing & mastering session which produced 'Pressure Points'.

is around half way complete and includes slightly heavier material
but also still steeped in progressive influences including the now
complete, full orchestration of the epic 3 part Unknown Soldier. Orchestra

New tape frames have been acquired for Hydeaway Studio’s Mellotron
and are been put to god use on new track, The Great Divide, Part 1

new recruit, Rob Jarvis, ‘On Second Thoughts (What If)’.
Another new track will also be included form Andy Wells, strangely
