William Webb Ellis:
A very essential biography
William Webb Ellis was born
in Salford, in 1806. Frequented Rugby School since 1816, and made
his " Famous Exploit" when he was 16. In 1825 he went
to Oxford University where he was selected for the Cricket Team,
The Blues, in 1827. he became the St. George's Church in Albermale,
London. Died in France in 1872
