14 DAYS CAMBODIA TOUR
 

 

Day 01 - Phnom Penh - Arrival

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, you will be welcome by your Asian Trails guide and transferred to the Hotel. Your journey begins with a City tour including the Royal Palace, the National Museum, Wat Phnom and Silver Pagoda.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at the Sunway Hotel or similar


Day 02 - Phnom Penh - Kompong Cham

Departure to Kompong Cham by road (around 2 hours). Sightseeing in Kompong Cham includes the Wat Nokor. After lunch at local restaurant, visit of the rubber plantation of Chhup
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Kompong Cham


Day 03 - Kompong Cham - Kratie

Departure by regular speed boat from Kompong Cham to Kratie. Upon arrival at the early afternoon. You will have a lunch at a local restaurant. Brief tour of this small colonial-style town
Continue from Kratie (30 minutes), to reach the site of the river dolphins and observe the dolphins until sunset (NO GUARANTEE!).
Return to Kratie for dinner and overnight in Kratie


Day 04 - Kratie - Kompong Cham

After breakfast at a local restaurant, departure for Sambor (45-km north from Kratie) Visit to the "Hundred Columns" pagoda of Wat Trasor Muoy Roy. View one of the oldest stupa of the post-Angkorian period and visit the nearby village located on the bank of the Mekong River. Explore the pagoda of Vihear Kork (19th C.) Then, visit Wat Phom Sambok, the Buddhist monasteries and enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding countryside from the hilltop.
After lunch in Kratie, you will travel by private speedboat to Kompong Cham. En route stop at Chhlong, small and charming village with both Khmer and colonial architectures. Visit a unique and beautiful wooden house supported by 100 columns (19thC);
Arrival in Kompong Cham, check-in at the hotel before dinner at local restaurant.


Day 05 - Kompong Cham - Kompong Thom

After breakfast at local restaurant departure to Kompong Thom by road, on the way visit of Wat Kohear Nokor and the Phum Prasat. After lunch visit Phnom Suntonk and climb the 980 steps to reach the pagoda, which combines different architectural style.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Kompong Thom


Day 06 - Kompong Thom - Sambor Prei Kuk - Siem Reap

After breakfast at local restaurant, departure for the visit of Prasat Sambor Prei Kuk, site pre-Angkorian (7th century AC). This complex of Ishanapura is composed of 4 groups of temples. These are among the most ancient surviving examples of Khmer architecture. Picnic on site before departure to Siem Reap by road (200 km and the road conditions are rough!). Arrival in Siem Reap late afternoon.
You will enjoy dinner at hotel and overnight at the Angkor Hotel or similar.


Day 07 - Siem Reap

After breakfast at hotel, start the Angkor complex by South Gate of Angkor Thom, the Bayon and Baksei Chankrong, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. You will have lunch at hotel.
You will visit Angkor Wat the whole afternoon and enjoy sunset from Phnom Bakheng hill
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at the Angkor Hotel or similar


Day 08 - Siem Reap

After breakfast at hotel, continues visit with Grand Circuit: Visit of Prasat Kravan, Eastern Mebon, Leak Neang and Ta Som, Neak Pean and the Preah Khan temples. Lunch at hotel and afternoon visit of Petit Circuit: Visit of Chao Say Tevosa, Thommanum, Takeo and Banteay Kdei, sunset at Pre Rup temples.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at the Angkor Hotel or similar


Day 09 - Siem Reap

After breakfast at hotel, visit of Banteay Srei and Phnom Kulen, founding site of Angkorian civilization. Picnic lunch on site. After returning from Phnom Kulen, visit of the Chantiers Ecoles of Siem Reap who provide training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone-carving and wood-sculpting.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at the Angkor Hotel or similar


Day 10 - Around Siem Reap

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the floating village and take a boat trip on the Tonle Sap.
Return to Siem Reap for lunch at hotel. Afternoon, visit to Wat Bo pagoda and local market.
Last dinner in Siem Reap and Apsara performance.
Overnight at the Angkor Hotel or similar


Day 11 - Siem Reap - Phnom Penh - Kampot

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Siem Reap Airport, and flight Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. Drive to Kampot (150 kms), en route stop in Takeo and transfer to a speedboat for Phnom Da temple, pre-Angkorian laterite tower (6th C.). Visit Ashram Maharosei (6th C.), a Hindu-style sandstone temple built in a style unlike any other temple in Cambodia. Visit the museum of Angkor Borei where reproductions of objects found in the region are displayed. Return to Takeo by speedboat. After lunch, continue by car and arrival in Kampot (2 hours). Drive to Kep and enjoy the beauty of the beach until sunset.
Return to Kampot for dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Kampot.


Day 12 - Kampot - Bokor

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Bokor Mountain National Park, stroll in the forest and view the waterfalls. You will visit the ancient hill resort and see the ruins of the casino hotel, church and other buildings of the sixties that failed to escape the ravages of time and wars.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Kampot


Day 13 - Kampot - Phnom Penh

After breakfast at hotel, drive back to Phnom Penh. En route you will visit Phnom Chisor Mountain for the last overview on Cambodia. After lunch at hotel, you enjoy an afternoon of leisure for shopping.
Dinner at Hotel and overnight at the Sunway Hotel or similar


Day 14 - Phnom Penh - Departure

After breakfast at hotel.
Leisure time before departure to airport.
