Pianista, si è perfezionata in repertorio cameristico alla Scuola di Musica di Fiesole con il Trio di Trieste, con Dario De Rosa e Maureen Jones, fino al 1882. Successivamente ha svolto attività concertistica in Italia ed all’estero (U.S.A., Cina, Austria, Ungheria, Romania, Cecoslovacchia, Jugoslavia e Turchia) in formazioni di duo e di trio.
Dall’ 82 insegna Musica da Camera: dapprima al Conservatorio di Venezia ed attualmente, in ruolo, al Conservatorio di Udine. Nel frattempo si è laureata a pieni voti e lode in Filosofia.
Da vent’anni ha intrapreso un’attività più specificamente musicologica, quale critico musicale per “Il Piccolo” di Trieste e per la RAI; ha collaborato con importanti periodici ed inoltre con alcuni Teatri e Società concertistiche italiane per le note esplicative dei programmi di sala.
Dall’ ottobre ‘88, per cinque anni, Fedra Florit è stata il responsabile delle scelte artistiche per la Stagione da Camera di Mestre-Venezia Nel dicembre 1992, per la E.D.T. di Torino, Fedra Florit ha pubblicato la monografia “Il Trio di Trieste. Sessant’anni di musica insieme”. Il libro è stato presentato ufficialmente all’Accademia di S.Cecilia di Roma, alla presenza del Presidente della Repubblica Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, e al Gabinetto Viesseux di Firenze
Dal settembre 1995 è consulente artistico alla Scuola Superiore Internazionale di Musica da Camera del Trio di Trieste, di Duino (Trieste) e direttore artistico del Concorso Internazionale per complessi da camera con pianoforte “Premio Trio di Trieste”, dedicato all’attività del Trio e riservato a formazioni dal duo al quintetto, per pianoforte e archi. Nel contempo ha avviato, a corollario del Concorso, la rassegna annuale “Premiatissimi”, che circuita nella Regione Friuli-Venezia Giulia i giovani premiati alla competizione triestina.
Da due anni è il consulente musicale della Fondazione Regionale per lo Spettacolo del Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Nel 1997 il Presidente della Repubblica Oscar Luigi Scalfaro ha conferito a Fedra Florit l’onorificenza di Commendatore “al merito della Repubblica Italiana”.

Fedra Florit is a pianist. She perfected her repertoire in chamber music at the Musical School of Fiesole with Dario De Rosa and Maureen Jones until 1982, and later on, devoted herself to concert performances in Italy and abroad (USA, China, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and Turkey), both in duo and trio ensembles.
She has been teaching chamber music since 1982, first at the Conservatory of Venice and currently has a tenure at the Conservatory of Udine. She has also obtained a graduate degree in Philosophy.
In the last twenty years, her activity has been more specifically musicological, as a critic for the newspaper “Il Piccolo” of Trieste and for the Italian National TV and Radio Network (RAI). She has cooperated with important periodicals, as well as with some theatres and Italian concert societies as a consultant for the drafting of explanatory footnotes in concerts’ brochures.
For five years, since 1998, Fedra Florit has worked as the artistic director of the Chamber Music Season in Mestre-Venice.
In December 1992, she published for the EDT publishing house in Turin the monographic book “Il Trio di Trieste: sessant’anni di musica insieme” (The Trio of Trieste: Sixty Years of Musical Performance). The book was officially presented at the S. Cecilia Academy in Rome, at the presence of the President of the Italian Republic, Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, and at the Gabinetto Viessuex in Florence.
Since September 1995 she has been the artistic advisor of the Chamber Music International School of the Trio of Trieste in Duino, Trieste, and the artistic director of the International Competition for Piano Chamber Ensembles “Premio Trio di Trieste,” named after the famous Trio and reserved to piano and strings ensembles, from duos to quintets. Meanwhile, she has also started the annual event “Premiatissimi,”, corollary to the Competition, where the winners are given the chance to perform in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Recently she assumed the role of musical consultant of the Regional Foundation for Entertainment of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region.
In 1997 she was awarded by the then President of the Italian Republic Oscar Luigi Scalfaro the honorific title of Grand Officer of Merit.
