The little village of BELMONTE CALABRO sits on a small mountain top overlooking the thyrrenian sea, between Amantea and Longobardi.

The historical centre dates back to the 1200’s with its small castle and adjoining village and famous "Vichi" (small street) through which one can stroll to walk into the Medieval past.

The Castle Boundary, at the entrance of the village, depicts the antiquity of the village.

Worthy of visit are: the Swabian Castle (1270), the parish Church built between the XIV and the XV centuries, the Church of the Carmine ( XVII Century), the house of Galeazzo di Tarsia one of the XVI Century famous poet.
