The place
The province of Ogliastra can be considered a paradise for naturalists.
Like a picture, it includes all the beauties of Sardinia in few
square kilometres.
The best way to discover it is to travel through the Orientale
Sarda
(the main road 125). All the villages are linked by this road and
every turn offers wonderful panoramas over the mountains and the hills.
The sea
Impressive cliffs along forty kilometres alternate fine white sandy beaches and
red porfid rocks, which are typical of this coast.
The mountain
This part of the region includes the National Park of Gennargentu, the widest protected
area of the Island, which contains the highest peaks of Sardinia
and is rich in
millenary forests, deep chasms, imposing caves, animal and vegetable
endemic species.
