If you visit southern Sardinia, you will discover many interesting things: a rich culture with traces of ancient traditions, Sardinian handicraft with its carpets, ceramics, jowels, and wood products which you can buy in the near town of Pula or in Cagliari, the chief town of Sardinia at olny 30 km from Is Molas. Pula is situated on the west coast of the Gulf of Cagliari (Km 32, ss 195). Its importance is due to its beautiful sea and to its history. The nearness of the famuos Forte Village and of the very well frequented golf-course Is Molas, makes Pula a well-known tourist attraction.

Is Molas gives you the possibility to do what you prefer most. You may challenge the wonderful eighteen golf-holes tracing where both Italy's Open and the PGA Challenge Tour have been played twice. After playing golf you have the opportunity to relax yourself on a fantastic beach and to dive in the wonderful Sardinian sea. Just 4 km from Is Molas near "Suergiu de Mari" in a wonderful inlet sheltered from the wind, the area offers a beach provided with public transport, snack bar, beach-umbrella, deck-chair and bathing-hut, and different aquatic sports. Just few steps from here you may visit the archeological excavations of the old Roman -Punic city of Nora.
There is a beautiful landscape around Is Molas. The remains of ancient civilities are witnesses of centuries of history and, Roman and Genoese influences are present together in a charming and evocative setting.

Just few minutes from the built-up area of Pula, you may visit the remains of the ancient city of Nora, which had been founded by the Phoenicians, then it had been occupied by the Carthaginians and successively conquered by the Romans. The three civilities are still visible because of different archelogical discoveries: visitors, walking through the old streets, may see a necropolis, a Punic temple, a Roman theatre and other builings of different periods. There are different hypothesis: Nora could have been destructed by a terrible fire, or perhaps the inhabitants cuold have leaved it little by little. Archaeologists are trying to recollect the development and the end of Nora, because there are no evidences about its last period.

If you are interested in old civilizations you cannot ignore Cagliari National Archaeological Museum , where you may find the most important remains of the oldest nuragic and pre-nuragic civilization: statuettes, tools, jowels and other manufactures, all remains of the ancient inhabitants of Sardinia. In Cagliari you may also visit the Roman amphitheatre and S.Saturnino Church. Near Pula there are Bithia's very old settling down remains. On the west coast you may visit S.Antioco, a little island that you can reach by car crossing a big bridge.

In this area there is a plentiful agricoltural output, which derives meanly from glasshouses and vineries. Besides Nora's archaeological excavations, Pula offers other interesting attractions, first of all the big and beautiful beach of S.Margherita di Pula, around which you will notice the very special union (the only one in Sardinia) among the famous touristic centres, the beautiful villas perfectly fitted in the green pine-wood coast, wide fields employed with specialized agricolture, the hotels, Cala verde little harbour, centres for horse riding and excursions, Cooperativa Pescatori's Aquarium, and the beautiful mountains which embrace all this zone.
