It was just to find a "pedigreed" husband to this "roundhead" girl what I bought my first Siamese male (a blue point) some years ago...

When "Kali" wasn't able to have babies and then was neutered, a seal point female arrived and then Woophy, a lilac tabby variant male...

I really didn't have any idea of what was beginning when his breeder asked me: "could you, please, be so kind to show him at last three times?"...

In a few months I got totally involved and "devoted" to this very special breed (the only one to my eyes!)

"Whoophy's family" lives in a sunny big flat not far from S. Marco place in Venice. A big living room with nice windows on a inner garden is our "harem" where five females and 3 neuters stay free. Part of a corridor has been closed with a glass door and two of my studs stay there. My favourite male (Whoopy, the lilac tabby variant) lives in my bedroom together with a neutered blue-creme house cat which is his best friend. Another stud (an havana boy) lives in the bathroom which is also open on the garden. A second room is used, according to our needs, as nursery, hospital, or quarantine place...
My fifth male (in co-ownership) lives in the kitchen and has the total control of the refrigerator and food administration...

Our vet works not so far from home and is very often with us so that for my cats he is much more like a friend instead of a doctor.
"Whoophys" are regularly checked and tested (especially males and females before mating) and our kittens don't leave the family before their third month of age. We always ask new owners to sign a contract to guarantee the kittens health and the respect of basic rules of good breeding.
We don't use cages: only to separate cats when they eat or during big house cleaning.
