Thought that other fans might like to know that ZZTopDirect.com has a contest
where you can win a pair of tickets to a concert on the current ZZ Top tour. Looks
like they have tickets for every show, and you can pick which one you want. By entering
you’re also signed up to receive news, interviews and such via e-mail. They
also have a bunch of albums for sale there; it’s the official Internet store
for the band.

I am from Houston and when ZZ Top formed
there was a rumor that they got their
name from the reefer roll company, ZigZag
and Top Paper Roll. Can someone out there
verify this for me? If you feel you need
not spread this, then just e-mail me
personally with a yay or a nay.

One of the FAQ’s questioned the existence of a Flashback single (7”). It was on
the Tantara label #3113. The A side was a cut version (2:52) for radio play,
and the B side was the long version (4:15) I don’t know why they album version
is 4:45

Was surprised to see a site on the Moving Sidewalks and with a photo too! The
picture must be from a bootleg Flash album because the originals are so rare.
There were not many pressed to begin with and I’m sure very few have survived
in good condition. That photograph was taken with infrared film. We were trying
for something psychadelic.
