Alan Brandt claims that he was the first drummer for the Shadows of Knight,
but I haven't been able to find any information on the net about this. He
said that he was too young to play in the clubs so he had to quit the band.

I really liked this band
was a great influnce on my guitar playing ..I was in a band in Michigan in
1967 called Tonto and the renegades We are getting re-issues of our old 60's
stuff out by Mistylane records in Rome Italy June 2002. Shadows were a great band
we played with them in michigan back in the 60's a couple of times.The 60's
were a great time music was good and the shadows of knight were no doubt a

I saw the shadows of
knight in 1968 in Ames Iowa at a roller rink I was lucky enough to meet Jim
Sohns. It is to this day still one of the greatest concerts I have ever seen.
It changed the way I felt about being in a band.My band Roze still plays
Gloria and and I hope someday I get the chance to see the band again.the shadows

July 31 Cellar Reunion,
