Summary of the project
The project can be synthetically defined as the replacement of traditional
tiles by serially connected modules.
At this latitude (central Europe) it is possible to obtain hot water
for sanitary use 9 months a year. During the remaining months this system becomes a sure supplement to the heating
system.
It may be interesting to note that in a house with a covered area of
150 square metres, the quantity of available water is about 1300 litres.
I think that this project can be applied to residence buildings with
up to 4 dwellings or flats and to public buildings such as small sport or recreational centres; but the versatility
of the project makes it exploitable in several ways.
It may be interesting to note also that:
- during the summer the water can absorb an appreciable quantity of heat,
preventing it from getting into the dwelling: during the winter, on the contrary, the modules can be emptied so
as to form an insulating air space, preventing cold air from entering the house;
- we should also take into account the availability of a fairly good
quantity of water in case of emergency, e.g. fire.
Therefore no more quarry materials, but a rationalisation of the structure
which becomes an active component and the certainty of saving energy which helps to improve the quality of life.
