The first stop,
after about 150 Km, was used to wear all of our spare clothes
La mattina dopo faceva freddino,
ma il TDM, nonostante la notte passata sulla neve, e' partito al primo
colpo

La mattina dopo, all' Elefantentreffen,
ha iniziato a cadere il primo nevischio...
The day after, once arrived at the
Elefantentreffen we discovered the weather was not that nice
Quando tornammo, a prendere le moto,
dopo 4 ore, la situazione era decisamente peggiorata:
When we came back, after 4 hours,

Le gomme da strada sulla neve non
sono il massimo, e cosi', dopo mille peripezie, in altre 5 ore riuscimmo
a fare i 15Km che
ci separavano dal nostro albergo....
ebbene no, la tenda non l'abbiamo usata.
TDM on dirt roads? well may be,
but not on the snow with road tyres as Michelin are: after 5 hours we did
it to cover the
15 Kms that separated us from our
Hotel.
Sulla strada del ritorno, in coda dal benzianio... con 80 moto ci vuole un certo tempo...
On the way back, queuing at the
gasoline station... 80 motorcycke takes a while to do all the things fixed
up...
Ed anche li' c'erano Elefanti dappertutto
And even there we were sorrounded
by Elephants
Vicini al passo del S. Bernardo.
La mattina presto, alla partenza da Thurmansbang, risultava aperto solo
a veicoli con
catene, fortunatamente quando siamo
passati la strada era sufficientemente pulita da consentire il transito
delle moto.
Close to the S. Bernardo mountain
pass (on the Alps), when we left Thurmansbang it resulted to be accessible
only for
vehicles equipped with chains on
the wheel... luckily when we arrived it was not in that bad conditions.
