A Dream within a Dream Narration (Orson Welles) Backing Vocals (David Paton) (Instrumental) | Un sogno dentro un sogno (Strumentale) |
For my own part, I have never
had a thought Which I could not set down in words With even more distinctness that which I conceived it. There is however a class of fancies of exquisite delicacy Which are not thoughts and to which as yet I have found it absolutely impossible to adapt to language. These fancies arise in the soul, Alas how rarely, only at epochs Of most intense tranquillity When the bodily and mental health are in perfection. And those mere points of time When the confines of the waking world Blend with the world of dreams. And so I captured this fancy Where all that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream. |
The Raven Lead Vocals (Alan Parsons, Leonard Whiting) Backing Vocals (Eric Woolfson) | Il Corvo |
The clock struck midnight
And through my sleeping I heard a tapping at my door. I looked but nothing lay in the darkness And so I turned inside once more. To my amazement, "Nevermore", And still the raven remains in
my room, Quoth the raven:
"Nevermore". |

You should have seen him Lying alone in helpless silence in the night. You should have seen him. You would have seen his eye reflecting in the light. So for the
old man And he won't be found at
all. Louder and louder, Heard all the things in Heaven
and Earth. Take me away now! |
L'avreste dovuto vedere.
Portatemi via adesso! |
The Cask of Amontillado Lead Vocal (John Miles) Additional Vocals (Terry Sylvester) Backing Vocals (Eric Woolfson) | Il barilotto di Amontillado |
By the last breath of the four
winds that blow, I'll have revenge upon Fortunato. Smile in his face, I'll say: "Come, let us go! I've a cask of Amontillado". "Sheltered inside from the cold of
the snow, ("What are these chains
binding my arms?"). "You, who are rich and
whose troubles are few, ("Spare me my life, only
name your reward!"). |
(The System of) Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether Lead Vocal (John Miles) Additional Vocals (Jack Harris) | Il sistema del Dottor Tarr e del Professor Fether |
Just what you need to make you
feel better. Just what you need to make you feel. Just what you need to make you feel better. Just what you need to make you feel. At the far end of your tether Just what you need to make you
feel better. Even clouds seem bright and
breezy Find the end of a rainbow.
Just what you need to make you
feel better. Satisfaction altogether, Find the end of a rainbow.
Don't stop bringin' the girls
round. Just what you need to make you
feel better. |
arcobaleno. Proprio quello di cui hai
bisogno per farti sentire meglio. Soddisfazione tutta in una
volta, Trova la fine di un
arcobaleno. Non smettere di portarti
appresso delle ragazze. Proprio quello di cui hai
bisogno per farti sentire meglio. |
The Fall of the House of Usher (Instrumental) | La caduta della casa degli Usher (Strumentale) |
I Prelude Narration: Orson Welles Shadows of shadows passing. It is now 1831 and, as always, I'm absorbed with the delicate thought: It is our poetry as indefinite sensation To which end music is unessential. Since the comprehension of sweet sound Is our most indefinite conception, music, When combined with the pleasure idea, is poetry. Music without the idea is simply music. Without music, or an intriguing idea, Colour becomes pallor, man becomes carcass, Home becomes catacomb, And the dead are, but for a moment, motionless... II Arrival III Intermezzo IV Pavane V Fall |
I Preludio Narrazione: Orson Welles Ombre d'ombre passano. To One in Paradise Lead Vocal (Terry Sylvester) Additional Vocals (Eric Woolfson, Alan Parsons) Backing Vocals (Jane Powell) Narration (Leonard Whiting) | Ad uno in Paradiso |
If I could see the sky
above And my mind could be set free As wild white horses reached the shore, I'd stand alone and oversee. And if the bush before me burns, I believed in my dreams. Cold sands of time I've been through times when no
one cared. I believed in my dreams. "And all my days are
trances, |
estasi, |
