New Age Books 1

by Annalisa & Giampiero Cara

"Death is the back door into the other world. It is not the door of honor and glory," states Annalee Skarin, the great American mystic and ascended master, in the first chapter of this awesome book. "There is, however, a front door," she adds, "which is the way of utter glory and honor. This is the door Christ came to reveal and none would believe." So, she wrote "The Temple of God" - one of the most inspiring among the many royalty free and knowledge-laden books she published in the Fifties - to reveal, "to those who are ready, the beauty and magnificence of that front door." She evidently knows what she's talking about... And delivers what she promises, in a language so passionate it seems forged by the same flames of eternity she writes about, although sometimes weighed down slightly by the abundant use of biblical imagery. Anyway, it makes essential reading for anyone seriously interested in discovering what being a "temple of God" really means, and how anyone, through the conscious awakening of his creative powers, can transform himself from a self-limited mortal into a divine being.

This book, the fourth in the "Millionaires of the Bible" series, draws effective teachings directed toward the manifestation of abundance and prosperity in one's life from Jesus Christ's words and deeds, as reported by the official Gospels. Dr. Ponder, minister of a famous nondenominational church, begins by describing both Jesus' social environment and personal situation under a new, modern, nonorthodox way, depicting him as the greatest enlightened master. Then, through the interpretation of some of his most famous miracles (like the multiplication of loaves and fishes, for example) teachings and parables (like the beatitudes, the Lord's Prayer and the story of the prodigal son) she reveals the essential "secrets" for the manifestation of true prosperity. After all, according to Catherine Ponder, Jesus was the richest man in history, because he had perfect control over his power of manifestation. A really inspiring and enlightening book.

This little book has consolidated Dr. Chopra's reputation as a leading figure of the New Age movement. In it, equally guided by Vedic teachings and by new physics's discoveries, he reveals what is the source of true prosperity, how to create in oneself prosperity consciousness and what is the power of attention, intention and consciousness that creates "reality". Essential is the assumption according to which affluence is not the possession of substances in itself, but the awareness of the infinity ed uniqueness of the substance from which everything manifests. A real classic that we highly recommend.

Very often, booklets about practical psychology have a big defect: they're superficial, with their simplistic advice and "five minutes" exercises. But this booklet is an exception. It is well written, intelligent and the 10 "commandments" it offers are effective and so direct that they can even scare the reader at first. For every rule, there is a brief explanation, with a "case" and some hints to identify problems related to a certain aspect of self-esteem and to act according to the rule to resolve them. Written by an American psychotherapist with many years of experience in the field, this little book can be a good starting point for people who are under pressure and can't follow their heart and aspirations, people who feel guilty being themselves and never feel accepted by others. To them, this book can begin to offer the encouragement and the confidence necessary to change.

A best-seller both in England and in the US, this book blends various appetizing elements until it creates a very pleasant, useful and interesting product. What does Buddha have in common with the Beatles and with all the other celebrities the book talks about? The vegetarian choice, of course, which is not only an alimentary, but also moral, ideological and social choice. For every personality there is a chapter about the motives of this choice, with anecdotes, quotes and, of course, favourite recipes (in the chapter about Jesus Christ, for example, there is the recipe for the Essene Bread, a real must in his confraternity). An intelligent and absorbing book, not only for vegetarians.
